Happy Holidays and New Year!

Here's another appropriate behind-the-scenes photo (for this season) from our upcoming fan-film. Stay tuned for more info regarding "The Fear Of Missing Out".

"Happy Holidays, And A Joyful New Year!"
------------------------------------------
From the cast and crew of "The Fear Of Missing Out" and the folks over at Cyber-Troupe Studios, we want to wish you a Happy Holidays and a Happy New Year! Enjoy!
------------------------------------------
Cast, from left to right: Sarah Bird as NICOLA, Keegan Starnes as OWEN, and Seyha Reno as PARKER.
------------------------------------------
We hope we are the last to wish you a Happy Holidays as well as a Happy New Year. Things have been plenty busy recently trying to get "The Fear Of Missing Out" ready to be released in the first half of 2024. The plan is to submit the Pokémon fan-film known as "The Fear Of Missing Out" to a couple of film festivals that have a fan-film category within the next couple of months. There are also a couple of screenings where "T.F.O.M.O." will also be playing in the next few months. After all that, this Pokémon fan-film will be making its debut online.

We can't wait to share this Pokémon project with all of you! It's been a long time coming, and so much fun was had amongst the cast and crew while we were in production. Hopefully, this piece of behind the scenes photography highlights that a bit. This small scene was filmed the same day as the Halloween one, ironically enough. That was Keegan Starnes' first day on set, and he was a pro working alongside both Seyha and Sarah. Their characters' "connection" shined with ease once we got to filming that day.

Our director of photography, Gabe Perez, took a picture of all three of these actors on the couch as things were getting set up in the room for this scene. It's a good thing he did. Why? Because this looks like a real family photo! Maybe it actually is, maybe it's not. Maybe this photo appears in the final cut, maybe it doesn't. You'll find out real soon!

Well with that, here's to hoping this year is the best one yet for you! Take care, and stay tuned for more!

Happy (belated) birthday, Matt!

There's a lot more to follow regarding this film. Stay tuned!

"Happy Birthday, Matt (A.K.A. Karl In T.F.O.M.O)!
-----------------------------------------
Another day, another birthday! Once again, all of us from The Fear Of Missing Out (as well as the team over at Cyber-Troupe Studios) would like to wish one more member from the principal cast of "T.F.O.M.O." a happy birthday. This time, it was Matt Saio who celebrated another year of birth yesterday on November 24th. Let's all wish him a happy birthday!
-----------------------------------------
Cast in this still, from left to right: Seyha Reno as PARKER, Matt Saio as KARL, and Stephen B. Spencer as MAT.
-----------------------------------------
We may be a little behind schedule with our next birthday post, but better late than never! Happy belated birthday, Matt!

Yes, that's Matt with two t's; not to be confused with the character of Mat in "The Fear Of Missing Out" that only has one t, who is played by Stephen B. Spencer. Yeah, things even got confusing on set for Chris J. Faria. When making the fan-film known as "The Fear Of Missing Out" last fall, there were times where both Stephen/Mat and Matt/Karl looked up/responded whenever Chris would ask for "Matt." However, that sometimes happens when writing a script. Actor names and character names can easily overlap.

Nonetheless, Matt was awesome to work with! He brought such an amazing energy and presence to this "Pokémon GO" fan-film, playing a character that one wouldn't naturally assume he would play (seeing how he's the tallest in the cast and also a former baseball player). Karl is your awkward, all smarts, doesn't get out much, doesn't like people very much either type-of PoGO player. That being said, he means well; and eventually, he learns to grow as a human being throughout the movie.

This film still takes place during a "Pokémon GO" Raid Day. When you chase down Raid-after-Raid all day long, Karl's face says it all. Is it really *that* fun when you're spending all that money and not finding that Shundo after so many Raids? Find out soon!

QUESTION OF THE DAY: For filmmakers, do you refer to your cast by their actual name or their character's name?

"Happy Birthday, Stephen (A.K.A. Mat In T.F.O.M.O.)!"
-----------------------------------------
From both the cast and crew of The Fear Of Missing Out, as well as the team at Cyber-Troupe Studios, we all want to wish this movie's very own Stephen B. Spencer a happy birthday! (Stephen's birthday was yesterday, November 22nd.)
-----------------------------------------
Cast in this still, from left to right: Stephen B. Spencer as MAT, Sarah Bird as NICOLA, and Matthew Saio as KARL.
-----------------------------------------
It's been almost a good month since we last left you with an update on the " GO" fan-film known as "The Fear Of Missing Out." Chris J. Faria has been hard at work with T.F.O.M.O.'s current edit whenever he has the availability or time to do so. However, the timing couldn't be anymore perfect to come back on here and post the first still (in awhile) from this fan-film.

Why is that? Well, one of the actors from the core cast of "The Fear Of Missing Out" just recently celebrated a birthday! Let's all wish our very own Stephen B. Spencer a happy birthday, as he celebrated another year of birth just yesterday!

It was a wonderful experience casting and then working with Stephen on this project. We couldn't have cast a more perfect actor to play the role of Mat. He was *that* competitive video game player come to life, always bragging, being in your face, and making everything a competition. Stephen took the script and easily instilled his own personality into the character; becoming everything we wanted before even asking him to do this or that. Stephen took the ball and ran with it; and we couldn't have been any happier because he was such a blast to work with!

Stay tuned for another post tomorrow, as we will be celebrating one more birthday this week! Take care for now!

"Happy Halloween!"

From the cast and crew of The Fear Of Missing Out, and the folks at Cyber-Troupe Studios, we want to wish you a Happy Halloween! Stay safe, and have fun!

Cast, from left to right: Sarah Bird, Keegan Starnes, and Seyha Reno
-----------------------------------------
Happy Halloween! We hope this year's holiday ends up being your best one yet! Just remember to be safe and aware of all your surroundings (similar to what "Pokémon GO" tells the player every time the game is booted up). Also, have fun!

In the meantime, today feels pretty appropriate to share another piece of behind the scenes photography from the upcoming Pokémon fan-film, "The Fear Of Missing Out"; especially this one in particular. While this part from "T.F.O.M.O" is very, *very* short, it still is our Halloween portion from the flick after all.

Filming this part came after a long day capturing the final scene. Okay, it wasn't super long or anything; but it was still about six hours of filming a crucial piece of "The Fear Of Missing Out". Not only that, but we didn't film said scene until a month after principal photography occurred in late October/early November 2022. It was also the first day on set for Keegan Starnes.

However, the cast, as amazing as they were, made this all possible; and they were still having a blast with each other once we got to this part that day. Oh, man; there were a lot of funny and silly shenanigans we caught on the behind the scenes cameras! (We will share those after the movie is released.) Seyha, Sarah, and Keegan simply made it easy for Chris J. Faria and our D.P., Gabe Perez, at this point in the day because they were naturally having fun together as a "group of friends" on a Halloween night.

Take care!

The latest from Cyber-Troupe Studios, currently in post-production: "The Fear Of Missing Out"!

It began production exactly one year ago today. Stay tuned for more!

"One Year Ago, Production On T.F.O.M.O. Began!"

(NOTE: While this photo is being posted to "The Fear Of Missing Out" page, it is also being x-posted to Cyber-Troupe Studios; in addition to Chris J. Faria's own account and his Pkmn_fanatic_chris page as well. This story, as a result, is being written from his perspective/point of view.)

Time flies, doesn't it? While this piece of behind the scenes photography isn't from the first day of filming "The Fear Of Missing Out", it represents the day in which all of the principal cast members were on set together for the very first time. (The first day of principal photography on T.F.O.M.O. was actually October 22nd, 2022. So, just the day before; and we captured some footage with Seyha and Matthew individually that morning/afternoon.)

This "Pokémon GO" fan-film also represents a major change in my artistic career. Long story short, I have been at a dead end with acting since pretty much the pandemic. From 2015 to 2019, I did nearly 100 student and local indie films; but looking back, did I really enjoy it? There were *a lot* of times where I thought, "This wouldn't be what I would do if I was a director."

So, I used those "mistakes" to motivate me to finally get back into the game as a director myself. I figured if I wanted to make the move to directing, I should first finish this "Pokémon GO" idea that I've had since taking a film course during my senior year in college. It's been a long time coming, but this amazing journey will soon be up online. (Editing an film on your own while you work full-time is quite the task.)

What's funny, at least in retrospect, is that this day became a complete wash... quite literally! While there may be a small clip from that day of filming in the final cut, it was not long after this picture was taken that it started to downpour. Such is life when making an indie movie. There are moments during days like that where you, as the director/producer, are defeated, not knowing if that is a sign of things to come. Luckily though, we regrouped, got everything done the following weekend (which was kind of insane), and then came back to this scene the weekend after that (when it was a beautiful fall afternoon). While it took a few random days here-and-there to get everything else, it was certainly a production I will never forget; and I couldn't have done it without my amazing cast and crew!

Also, yes; this may have been the first day these four were on set together. However, it wasn't the first day they met each other. Oh, no! One of the things I learned from being an actor myself is that actors need chemistry. So throughout October 2022, I got together with my principal cast to either do table reads online, or actually hang out together. That way when they got to set, all of them would be comfortable portraying these four roommates like they were real. Sometimes, it's the little things that make a big difference!

Stay tuned, as the fan-film, "The Fear Of Missing Out", will soon debut online! Take care, everyone!
