In case your new here and don’t know me well enough yet, I have a special needs son of my own!! He is the light of my life!! 😎☀️
He has overcome more than most people his age have to deal with!! He has graduated from high school and is almost finished with his associates degree and will transfer to a four-year college to major in wildlife biology!! 🦅
Due to his special needs, he is not able to attend college without supervision!! In public schools, they provided him the supervision, colleges do not. So that leaves it up to me to attend college with him!! 😳
I retired eight years ago so that I could provide the support that he needs. However, with the economy the way it is, I had to return to work, and now I am not able to have the flexibility to go to school with him. 😩
Your situation may be that you just want to be home with your young children and not have somebody at a daycare raise them. 🙅🏻♀️

The majority of states require that you pay into the teacher retirement plan for the state if you work in a public school. The educator has no choice, but to participate even though they could probably have a better return on their money elsewhere!! 🤬

When I retired eight years ago, my years of service and my age added up to 80. Which meant that I could retire early. 😎
This was a necessity for me due my family situation. My son needed extra support, and I was unable to provide that to him with the amount of hours I was having to work as an educator. 😢
In my state, like most, when you retire, they use the following formula.
Years of service
X
Average salary for the last five years
X
A multiplier that is determined by the state, typically anywhere from 1% - 3%
=
Your salary for the REST OF YOUR LIFE!!
Cost-of-living raises are not provided on a yearly basis. In my state, the voters of the state get to determine if I get a cost-of-living raise. We got one this year, but it had been 14 years since we were given one! 🤦🏻♀️
Now, here is the kicker…
You will not receive as much money as you have paid in to your retirement plan? 🤬
You would think that you are putting that into an account for yourself! That’s not the way it works, actually the money that is being paid in currently is going right back out to pay current retirees. Your money is no longer there. 😱
You need to change your situation…🙋🏻♀️

I have looked recently looked for cute pictures of classrooms that are brightly colored, but do not have children and them! Most of the pictures I see have children in them!! Even though that picture is already on the Internet, I do not want to share pictures of children in my content!! 🙅🏻♀️
I found a great solution today!! I have used AI to help me with some writing, and even used it once when making a T-shirt for my son’s wildlife
T-shirt business. But today I’m excited to share with you that how easily it can be done! ☺️
🔸 open Canva and click create new design.
🔸 click on apps (left hand side)
🔸 search DALL-E
🔸 click on the app
🔸 describe a picture you are wanting
🔸 click generate
🔸 there you go, you have 2 pictures you wanted, pick the one want
🔸resize it to fit your project!!
Now you have a unique picture that no one else has!! 🌆

It’s not the teaching that makes them unhappy. Teachers actually have a calling, its the gift that God gave them! 🎁
When you follow the path God gives you, the path will bring you happiness!! 😁
I taught from 1985-1995. When I taught, I would be given the “difficult children”, because “I could handle them”.
So by the time I determined that I was leaving the classroom I was burned out from the behavior issues!! 😤
I went back to school and got my masters degree, and although I am still an educator, I am not in the classroom on a daily basis! 🙎🏻♀️
Back then the behavior issues are nothing like they are today!! 🙅🏻♀️
And yes, behavior is a big issue, but one oc the biggest reason that teachers teacher are not happy is the pay! The quote on the video says that teacher should be honored as heroes!!
In our society Basketball and football players are heroes and make millions!! 💰
Movie stars are heroes and make millions!! 💰
Teachers and educators need to work second jobs to make ends meet
And buy food for their family!! 😤
This seems backwards to me!! 🤦🏻♀️

🔴 On the home screen left-hand side click on brand
🔴 Click on Brand Kit
🔴 Add any logos you have. If you don’t have one, you can make one and Canva there are plenty of templates.
🔴 If you do not already have a color pallet, go search on Google!! Find the one you like, and copy the image.
🔴 Put the image into a blank document so that you can copy the hex codes.

Can you get lost in your Canva account? I do all the time I cannot find what I’m looking for. It may take me an hour to find one project!! 🤦🏻♀️

I needed to organize my Canva account so that I could find projects. 😎
So here are the steps I followed…
✅ make folders to save projects in (these will be different for every person, but some of my examples are Mock Ups, each product I sell, projects that I have re-branded, Instagram posts…)
✅ this next step will take a while if you’ve done a lot without organizing, but you’ll need to go through ALL of your projects and add it to a folder
✅✅ click on the project
✅✅ click on file
✅✅ click on move to a folder
✅✅ click on the folder you want it placed in
✅✅ click on move
Now that project is in a folder go to the next project!! ☺️
So simple, but if you’re like me and didn’t do it for a long time, it may take you a while!!⏰
