World Drug Campaign
World Drug CampaignUNODC leads the global campaign to raise awareness about the major challenge that illicit drugs represent to society as a whole, and especially to the young. The goal of the campaign is to mobilize support and inspire people to act against drug use. UNODC encourages as many awareness-raising activities as possible around the globe and invites individuals, non-profit organizations, the private sector and Member States to get involved by:
Organizing outreach or institutional events to mark 26 June, the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking
Spreading the word about the campaign through your own networks and contacts
Using the campaign slogan and logo in promotional products, websites and social media
Donating funds to your local NGO in support of drug prevention and treatment efforts, or making in-kind contributions to the campaign and related events

"Same as you" Campaign
The drug user population was one of the targets of the "Same as you" campaign, launched in 2009 by five UN agencies, including UNODC. It has as its basic concept the equal rights between people, with emphasis on students, g**s, le****ns, people living with HIV/AIDS, s*x professionals, refugees, transgenders and transvestites, drug users and black populations. The campaign is composed of ten 30-second films broadcast in television channels across the country.
The campaign comes as an initiative against violations of human rights and inequality, especially in the areas of health, education, employment, safety and interaction. The campaign is about an opportunity to raise the Brazilian society's awareness on respecting the diversity in each of the social
