Storyboards - even when I’m DPing AND directing, I put them on paper. Most of the time, no one sees them. Sometimes, I don’t even look at them. The point is getting it out of my head and into the world.

These are the boards for the “Shadow of the Deathbird” teaser. Most were photographed. A few didn’t make the cut. But you can watch the teaser on our Boosted campaign and compare to see how vision shifts from the brain to the pencil to the camera to the screen.

We’re stepping into television! Our newest project, a standalone pilot called “Shadow of the Deathbird,” is the first episode in an omnibus series not unlike “The Twilight Zone.” Read about it below and help us get this project off the ground!

We had the pleasure of having the uber-talented filmmaker Derrick Sims with us who took a trip down memory lane to share his 17 years of ongoing filmmaking voyage. Our discussion ranged from Derrick's journey of discovering his passion for filmmaking and getting into the film industry to classic movies, and the evolution of cinema. Derrick provided useful advice for aspiring filmmakers, which will also apply to any creative wanting to make their mark in any form of art media.
