From its first inception in 2003, Camouflage was born out of the bored minds of Gibran & QQ, back then they DJ’d for underground community throughout the nation. Famous for their unlicensed warehouse parties, Camouflage Recording was then born as an enterprise, legally fit to be part of the nation’s legal system to avoid problems with the police. s exemplary choices in genres and their talents, they have been making buzz at big clubs such as Embassy Jakarta, Co2 (later Wonderbar), Centro Jakarta, Retro Jakarta, Stadium Jakata, X2 Club Jakarta, Vertigo Club Jakarta, Double Six Bali, Vertical 7 Surabaya, TJ’ Yogyakarta and Embassy Yogyakarta and even took part for what was then the biggest rave party JAKARTA MOVEMENT and the island rave ‘Lost In Translation with over 40 DJ’s in its rooster. And to top it all, Camouflage Recording held a nationwide tour that visited 6 major cities in Indonesia playing at big floors such as Double Six, X2, Embassy Bandung, the legendary Studio East Bandung, Kyooki and so much more. Camouflage is also responsible for bringing to our shore, one of German’s most notorious breakbeat DJ and producer by the calling ED2000 (Dangerous Drums, Berlin). Apart from that some of our in house have shared decks with
international names such as Tsuyoshi, ED2000 and so much more. it has no specific genre, just good music, that is what makes them interesting, With multi conceited rooms, we were one among the first who held multi arena club night back at the legendary a2 Club at Pecenongan apart from the other underground raves held by our seniors from Dub Container, Future10, 1945 Music Factory, Original Naro, Blackout Party and so much more. Camouflage delivers musical and ambiance choices on more than 300 parties throughout the nation. Members of the collective has been names such as Roni Joni , Osvaldo Nugroho, Frido Wilson, Asking, DJ Flex, QQ, Bitch and the infamous live performance of MONODRAMA (Gibran & Theo Abdika), who went number one for over than 5 consecutive week’s on the nation’s most highly regarded dance segmented radio programme, Paranoia on Hard Rock FM. Bitch is an exceptional addition to the team, he hails from Bandung, heavily addicted to Drum and
Bass, his set just blows us away and send crowds into massive head-bobbing machine. Difference of opinions and musical perspective has caused problems between the guys and decided to disband in 2007 after 5 years together fighting the underground hype along with their best friends such as Javabass, Stereowerk, Quirk It, Electrosoul, Ravelex.net, 1945 Music Factory, Whitelands, Synan Recordings, 24/7, Mixology and so much more. Went into hiatus in 2008, 2012 see the rise of this national underground music provider with Wido, Theo Abdika now coined as ‘Trianglehaed’ (Monodrama) and the label founder Gibran Sani (Monodrama) who preferred the calling Pennywise now, as he returns to his
root of playing Drum And Bass and pure classic jungle tracks. He also produces tracks under the pseudonym Commercial Su***de that you can find mostly on his Soundcloud. Camouflage Recording new sound are crossings between Dubstep, Post-Dubstep, Shoegazing, Psychedelic, Drum And Bass and Electronica. A little bit of everything from Apparat, Telefon Tel Aviv, Optiv, Tony Coleman, Phil Tangent, Micromakine, Ruskp. Modestep, Hadouken, Filastine, Calyx & Teebee, BTK, Netsky to the likes of Skrillex, Work Drugs, F**k Buttons, Post-Foetus. Mmoths, Sun Glitters, Shy FX, Roni Size, James Blake, Beat Culture, even to Radiohead! and so much more. Each with its own electronica feel, Trianglehaed gives more striking feel to, when it’s his time to take over the deck. His Electronica, Post-Music and Chillwave set, is unlike the nation has ever seen. Wido, better known as Box2ID gives a striking experience of what the universal dubstep means, it is a unification of globe in the dance floor, his set is massive and varies from 140, drops to 125 and just hit it up to 145, driving his crowd into maximum ear or**sm.
