Do you know our Party Essentials series?

Select Mix is known for our intentionally tame/simple remixes, which allow you as the DJ to chop it up, sample, scratch... however you want. Each time you use a track, you can create a different experience.

We’re writing to provide you with an important update on a situation regarding the Select Mix website.

On May 18th, the database server the serves the Select Mix website suffered a major catastrophic failure, resulting in a major loss of data, including some onsite backups that we had. We’ve worked with data professionals, our website developer, and the hosting data center to do all that we can to find a decent resolution to the problem. Without the database, our website is basically toast.

Here’s where we landed: We did have an older backup on-hand that we were able to restore. That means that as of right now, the Select Mix website is BACK UP AND RUNNING, but that some recent data is lost forever. We’re missing things like recent password changes, transactions, and new accounts. Any other recent changes to your account may also be missing.

We’ll work through it all with you to make sure everyone is in good working shape moving forward. Please never hesitate to reach out to our customer service email: [email protected] - we strive to answer back emails as fast as possible. We may experience a slightly higher volume than normal over the next few weeks, but our commitment is that each and every customer will be okay.

Thank you to all of you who messaged us in the recent weeks to see if we’re okay. The messages and encouragement meant a lot to us. Select Mix is a small business, and we’ve been very stressed out and working frantically to find the best possible solution. We’re very thankful for all of your wonderful messages. So many of us have been through a lot together over the 21 years that we’ve been in business!!

Quick update on our website issue. Major failure of the database server attached to our site. We're working with our partners to resolve this as fast as we can, and we've made some amazing progress behind the scenes. We expect to be back up and running soon, but we're reluctant to share a date in case something else comes up along the way.

Part of the problem is that the newly installed database server has code incompatibilities with our site's highly-customized code base. That is being resolved next and we should be set.

We're thankful for your patience, and we promise we'll let everyone know the MINUTE we get it back up and running.
