If you are anything like us, you spend a lot of time at work. As a woman, that can be a complicating and frustrating place. We created 77cents as a place for us to talk about the challenges and issues we face as women in the workplace, specifically for young women just starting their careers. We wanted the name of our podcast to directly reference this. While the actual number is debatable, 77 cen

ts has become the defacto amount used to describe how much money women earn compared to every dollar a man earns (and for women of color it is even less). There is no better, more simple representation of what it is like to be a woman in the workplace than the gender wage gap.
