Hi folks! I know I’m not around here much (it’s become a nightmare for my brain, sadly), but since this is where most of my peeps are, gonna throw out a request:

I’m looking for a different job. I’ve realized interacting with customers daily in a high-intensity situation is bad for my health, mental and otherwise, and I desperately need a change. Unfortunately, customer service is the majority of jobs out there, so I’m asking for your help.

If you know of an opening in something not people-oriented, please let me know 🙏 Heck, if you know of a job that’s not people-oriented (and doesn’t require an advanced degree) please let me know even if there’s NOT any openings! 😝 It’ll give me a place to start, at least 😉 If you have any job ideas, I’d love to hear them!

In the meantime, what I’m trying transition to eventually is music services: production, mixing/mastering, programming, songwriting. If you’ve got music you want to get out there but don’t have a pro budget, I’m your guy! I’m taking a lesson from Steve Albini - I’ll charge you a reasonable flat rate, ask no royalties, and a contract to protect you. If you’re interested DM me!

Re-reading Ken Macleod’s ‘Fractions’ (the first two books of The Fall Revolution tetralogy) - might pick up ‘Divisions’ (the second half) afterwards. It’s good sci-fi, with a hefty dose of fringe politics, but I can’t quite tell if the politics is sincere or ironic, and if the narrators are intended to be reliable or not. Well-told stories either way tho, def worth a read!

New Strings Day! Getting ready to record tracks for the next album, so gotta get a new set of on there 😁
Gonna experiment with heavier strings and tuning down to drop-D - the first 6 a full step down, an A for the 7th and a D for the 8th (AAL tuning but a step lower). We’ll see how it turns out 🤘🤞
