Jamaican educators' are one of the key pillars of the society. Still, their salaries do not reflect the role they play. Instead of giving themselves such huge increases, the Jamaican government should be diverting that money to educators.

It's that time again, let's get ready to send the kids out safely!

Back to school time again! Here are some tips to help make the transition from online school back to face-to-face lessons.

Returning to school in a pandemic is uncharted territory and unsettling at the very least for children. Back to school usually means falling into a familiar routine, but now everything is different, from the one-way system to playground rules. Children and parents alike are nervous about returning, communicate with calm words and actions that it is safe. This will significantly increase their chances of a smooth transition.

Tips to improve your mental health

Strong healthy relationships are important to your mental wellbeing, as they can help build and foster a sense of belonging and self-worth while proving the needed emotional support and allow you to in turn support others - through your own experiences.

Mindfulness can help you enjoy life more and understand yourself better. It can positively change the way you feel about life and how you approach challenges.

Learning new skills can also improve your mental wellbeing by boosting self-confidence and raising self-esteem and help you to connect with others

Being active is not only great for your physical health and fitness but also your mental wellbeing as it helps by releasing feel-good chemicals like dopamine and serotonin in your brain that can positively change your mood.

The acts of giving and kindness can go a long way in helping to improve your mental wellbeing as it creates a sense of reward and positive feelings, gives you a feeling of purpose and self-worth, and helps you to connect with others.
