INSTRUMENTAL TRANSCOMMUNICATION : For centuries, people have been trying to communicate with the dead. Instrumental Transcommunication (ITC) is the belief that people can use technology to bridge that gap. JOHN MURRAY SPEAR’S NEW MOTIVE POWER: John Murray Spear was a religious leader in the mid-1800’s who believed that he was receiving messages from spirits to bring into the world a mechanical messiah named the New Motive Power. ORANG PENDEK: Local Indonesian legends tell of a mysterious upright ape called Orang Pendek that lurks deep within the jungle. According to some eyewitnesses however, Orang Pendek may be more than just folklore.

Ralph Blumenthal had a long career working as a reporter for the New York Times. Together with Leslie Kean, he brought the explosive story about a secret government program that had been quietly studying UFOs - regardless of the government’s public denials of any such program existing. He later helped bring the incredible story of David Grusch to the public spotlight. His reporting has led to multiple congressional hearings being held on the subject of UFOs. We spoke with him about how he came upon these stories and what the future may hold for disclosure.
