I had the most amazing dinner at in Phuket!

I first discovered this gem 5 years ago when I was took an amazing cooking class at the beautiful property. Now anytime I find myself in Phuket it’s at the top of my list for places to grab a delicious meal.

Their attention to detail is incredible (I mean check out the welcome drink I received 😍)

I flew to Greece under the new EU regulations.

To board the plane you need to have a filled out Passenger Locator form which can be found here: https://travel.gov.gr/ #/

My flight was delayed and so I filed a claim with claim compass. EU 261 allows air passengers victims of flight disruptions to claim up to 600€ from the airline in compensation. Here is the link: https://www.claimcompass.eu/user-ref/S1vYE4IQF

I booked a Marriott property for $49.67 a night (including tax) at the Moxy Patra Marina right on the ocean. My first month stay (I live in hotels full time) was $1490 (cheaper than my rent on my old apartment in Los Angeles AND includes a free buffet breakfast and free WiFi 😂) and now I’m staying on points for 12,500 points a night and about $15 in tax for a 2 week stay. 🥳

TIPS TO GET A CHEAP RENTAL CAR IN 2021

1) Check the rates on the rental website website everyday because the prices are constantly changing.

2) If you can’t find a cheap car rental cbeck out car sharing sites like Turo (the Airbnb of car rentals) or it all else fails just rent a Uhaul for $20 a day plus mileage.

3) Check with your employer to see if you have a corporate rate and if you have a student in college check to see if they have an alumna discount rate.

4) Check for additional fees. If you are booking a one way rental you may be charged a drop off fee. If you are charged ask if they will waive the fee. In my experience they normally will.

5) If the category of car you rented is not available ask for something for the inconvenience like marking that the gas task is empty even if it is full so you don’t have to worry about filling up the gas tank before you return the car.
