One of the reasons ginawa ko tong page is to share YOUR story and be an encouragement to others.

Today, I'm sharing with you itong previous recording ko with a fellow believer na parang kapatid ko na rin. :) We were together sa Bible School before when we were younger. And now, we're both VAs na rin.

Meet Ptr. Ken, a pastor, a brother to me, and a virtual assistant hustling hard to provide for his family. In this video, he shared how he found his online job, the challenges, the victories, and the realities of a virtual assistant, particularly sa real estate.

I would note though, that at the moment, he no longer works with the client he mentioned in this video since ang recording na 'to was last year pa (or 2 years ago? 'Di na maalala ng momnesia ko, lol).

My wife has been experiencing more frequent moments of sudden nostalgia in the past few months. She sheds bittersweet tears as she observes how our two kids are growing up. She feels that time is slipping away much faster now.

TRUTH VS TRUST

As I continue to grow my faith in God, these 2 became MORE fundamental in my daily life.

One Truth I finally have fully accepted is that I can never know everything except it be me who encounters that truth or it being from the source of truth. Truth is basically an essence that is absolute. And that a person who claims what the truth is becomes the accountable one. No wonder why a court will only entertain witnesses who have the firsthand knowledge and experience to disclose the truth in order to make the rightful judgment.

On the other hand, Trust is the thing you give to a person declaring what he believes is true. When I say I love you to my wife, she believes me because of her trust in me, regardless of whether I claim it’s true or not. Thus Truth does not equate Trust in a human perspective.

The sad part though is that we, men, can't be the absolute source of truth and that trusting our personal and selfish perspective of truth will never bring us to our true purpose of resolving issues in life. We are reminded in Proverbs 3:5-7 that we ought to only "Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding." and that " In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths." and thus 'Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil." - we are instructed to not even fully trust our own understanding; how much more with people.

There are many more verses in the Scripture explicitly saying that God is the only one who deserves FULL TRUST. That made me realize that trusting him will never ever have any hint of risk in a human sense since He is the Absolute One. However, trusting man will always bear a certain amount of risk even with the closest persons in our lives. But don’t get me wrong, trust is essential and thus we ought to earn that from people around us and at the same time give it to people whom we believe deserves it. The thing though is that it will always remain as an absolute that trusting men is a risk in its very essence, but trusting in God is somewhat a privilege that not even everyone wants to grab.

So it becomes clear on my end, that Trust is something you give away with the hope that the person is not wrong with what he/she claims. Thus, be it a reminder to all of us believers of God that trusting people is a risk, but will always be worth it - just remember, when you believe someone because of trust, it becomes your accountability and not somebody else’s.

Now as Christian leaders in our individual fields, when we try to create judgment let it be driven by the essence of servanthood - humility, and never ever lean in our own understanding. Let us get sources of information from the very sources so we can make sound judgments like the ones instructed in Matthew 18: 15-20, and even other related instructions from Apostle Paul’s writings.

Trust is never a good reference for truth,
except it be the faith we give to The Truth - Jesus Christ.
