Okay, so here's the deal: I went to the doctor today. He did some more tests. He's got more to do soon but, although I've had a major stroke, he was impressed by just how much muscular strength I still possess! He did say that a stroke such as mine would attempt to rob me of more of that UNLESS I continued to do my workouts in opposition to this! Knowing that it's too frigid this time of year to go outside, he recommended some additional exercises that would work against any muscular deterioration and continue to enhance my muscular strength. I got the charts from him and I intend to follow them to the letter while still doing my regular workouts! So okay, so here's the deal: I went to the doctor today. He did some more tests. As far as the upcoming blood work goes, the doctor expects that, because hypertension runs in my family (my Mom passed early from it in her early 50s), I'm still "not out of the woods yet", as he puts it. Meanwhile, he's maximized my double dose of medication and I'll go back to taking it twice a day, essentially, once every 12 hours. The forthcoming blood work should determine how much longer I should take it. Apparently, my stroke has greatly damaged my kidneys and they're not working nearly up to s***f! Got to take better care of them while he examines the damage through blood work! Well, LOL, thankfully, it's only my brain and when was the last time I ever used THAT? LOL! He DID say that, as severe as it is, I might STILL actually get my voice back and even sing and move again on the new shows I'll be doing THIS FALL (I'll keep you all abreast of THAT, TOO)! Meanwhile, I thank SO MANY of you who've kept the faith throughout and even my Son, Jay Edwards, reminds me to work on getting well and THEN we'll be ready to sing together on our NEW SHOW! THAT's gonna be FUN! LOVE and BEAR HUGS to ALL OF YOU! THANKS for HEARING ME OUT! Be back soon with MORE (so far, so good)!
