Obliterati Press Obliterati Press are a new, independent UK publishing press. Set up by writers, for writers.

We've been quiet over the last couple of years or so. As well as the pandemic and its associated fall out, we've had personal and professional changes and commitments to contend with. We've found it difficult to regain any momentum, and those other commitments continue to take up our time.
Therefore we've had to accept the inevitable and bring an end to Obliterati Press. It's been an immense pleasure and privilege to work with all of our authors and we're incredibly proud of the books we have published.
They're all unique, but the main thing they have in common is how brilliantly written they are. Each of them deserves a new home, and we'd hope any other presses out there would be interested in reissuing them and bringing them to a new audience.
If anyone is interested, please contact either us or the author themselves.
We'd like to thank those of you who bought our books, attended our launch events, or supported us or our authors in any way.
We'd mostly like to thank the authors for giving us the chance to work with them, and to publish their wonderful works.

From Nathan and Wayne, thank you and farewell.

Four years ago - this weekend - a small publishing press that Nathan O'Hagan and I (Wayne Leeming) put together on a shoe-string released its first novel, "Lord of the Dead" by Richard Rippon - a Newcastle-based serial-killer crime-thriller. We were all very proud of the book, and of everything we published thereafter.

Check out our website for further details of the work we did.

'We Know What We Are', the debut short story colection from acclaimed author Russ Litten. We have a limited number of copies available for just £6.99 including postage (UK only) on the link below.

This batch of tense and edgy tales are all centered in and around Hull in the year 2017 and feature a cast of citizens whose lives play out on the furthest edges of the City of Culture spotlight.

Everything you could want from writing can be found in these pages. Here is ecstatic transport, deeply rewarding empathetic adventure, laughter that erupts from the guts and sorrow that shatters the heart. And, around it all, is the revelatory examination of one of Britain's neglected but alluring cities that bears comparison with the work of David Simon or James Kelman. That's how good, and vital, and endlessly fascinating this collection is.

Niall Griffiths

Author of ‘Grits’ and ‘Sheepshagger’

Soulful fiction that comes from the heart, written with imagination and style. Russ Litten is a special talent.

John King

Author of ‘The Football Factory’

Russ Litten is one of Yorkshire’s finest contemporary writers. His voice is loaded with slarter and salt, yet full of compassion and pathos. We do not pity his characters, but feel a sense of empathy towards them, their hard scratch existence is brought to life on the page. This collection reveals the underbelly of Hull, the flipside of City of Culture. It is an essential read for all who are curious about this wild, complex and vibrant city.

Adelle Stripe

Author of ‘Black Teeth And A Brilliant Smile’

You resent these stories because they remind you of it all. The fruitlessness of regular working life, its conditions, its traps. And the existence immediately below that. Despair. These are the final two tiers before the void.

Jason Williamson

Sleaford Mods

Every single Obliterati Press kindle book is available for just 99p each from now until 11.59pm Sunday 16th .

Lord Of The Dead by Richard Rippon is a thrilling piece of set in Newcastle that breaks new ground for modern crime fiction, and the sequel is well underway.

The Baggage Carousel is a savagely funny and touching traveloge of a novel from David Olner, overflowing with pathos and twisted humour.
We Know What We Are by Russ Litten, praised by some of our greatest contemporary writers and lyricists, Adelle Stripe, Jason Willianson of Sleaford Mods, John King and Niall Griffiths. Also available as an audiobook.

And all three of Ben Vendetta's rock'n'roll novels are available for just 99p, that's an entire trilogy for just £2.97, less than you'd pay for a coffee. Three novels inspired by different music scenes. From 80's London to 90's/00's L.A.

Already up to 25 strong reviews on Amazon, receiving rave reviews from and nominated for the People's Book Prize,
The Weighing Of The Heart by Paul Tudor Owen is as good a debut novel as you'll have read in the art few years.
Only 99p for a novel this good.

All available here...
