I was washed in the blood, then battered and deep fried in the traditions of my southern roots,
Steeped in the syrupy sugared hypocrisy of our sweet tea hospitality and shoved in the closet.
The door was nailed shut with Hell fire and brimstone promises.
Judgment and the threat of God’s wrath were told like bedtime stories.
Then I was tucked into bed wrapped in the pride of Dixie for the night.
Only to dream of a life filled with rainbow colored freedom gay and true,
Armed by my right to conceal and carry God’s love.
Protecting me as I walk down life’s road of turns and straight stretches, peppered with churches built by prejudice hate on foundations of religion and family values.
I forgive them though. I love them, for they know not what they do.
While I followed my heart and baptized my soul in the love of Jesus,
They were boiled and canned in the salty brine of our fore fathers,
drinking the kool aid laced in fear from their bottles. 💕💕💕. ***an ***anauthor ***r ***rchristian

Took a break from editing and worked on the bus build with the wifie! Did some painting the worked on replacing the ignition switch and lock bar! 😳 Mainly I sat and looked stuff up on YouTube and handed her tools. 😂 Emotional support she said. 😜
