When Chris tried this pour during Black Bourbon Run he was not about to leave Kentucky without visiting James B. Beam Distilling Co. to acquire one for himself.

Buffalo Trace was one of the products I had high on my list when I first began looking for bottles for Chris’ Anniversary gift. Now, I don’t seek it as much, not because it’s a bad pour, but merely due to the fact that I have multiple backups, and I’d rather leave it the shelf for someone who is hunting for their first one to try. However, when I see a barrel pick, I grab a bottle for him.

In this video, I take you along on our recent visit to Casper, Wyoming, where we were primarily there to support a friend who had just purchased a hockey team. Our trip coincided with their first home game, but we couldn't resist the opportunity to explore the local bourbon scene while we were in town. Over the course of our short trip, we visited three local liquor stores, each with its own unique offerings and atmosphere.

For the Month of October I will be featuring more non-alcoholic offerings for “Sober October”. Whether you are taking a break from alcohol this month to focus on health, clarity, and well-being, or just curious…definitely check these out!

I know Fall is officially here, but I have to showcase this the deliciously refreshing Untitled Art Mango Dragonfruit Sour – all the taste, none of the alcohol. I have come to the conclusion, any variety of a NA Sour, I am going to LOVE, and this one falls into that category. This Non-Alcoholic version of a Sour Ale is brewed and fermented with real mango, pink guava, and red dragonfruit.

During our last trip to Kentucky we were able to snag the Old Fitzgerald 13YR Bottled-in-Bond 25th Anniversary Edition commemorating the anniversary of Heaven Hill acquiring the historic Bernheim Distillery (DSP-KY-1) in Louisville, KY and along with it the Old Fitzgerald brand.

Trust me, it’s worth the hype! Before purchasing Chris was able to try this during our visit, and instantly loved it. To be honest, I think this was a favorite for everyone.

Chris and I had the pleasure of visiting Broad Branch Distillery today with a tour lead by Charles and Anna. Let me tell you, they are truly amazing, and we left feeling like family.

Throughout the tour I could feel the passion and love behind what they do. From discussing the brand, thieving a sample out of the barrel, walking us through a tasting, and even sharing their Port finished bourbon that’s no longer available, this was an incredible experience. I was even able to grab a NA Cocktail at Broad Branch Bar while Chris enjoyed his Blackberry Smash 🔥

I have such a huge appreciation for what they are doing, and if you have not tried anything from Broad Branch you are missing out. I highly recommend if you are in the area to go check them out. Trust me this will not be our last visit. Thank you so much for your hospitality and time spent with us today. Forever grateful, and I can’t end this without shouting out for the introduction 👏🏾💪🏾!
