Have you received spam social media comments?
Spam can tarnish the quality of your content and potentially alienate or even harm genuine followers. Luckily, there are some simple things you can do right now to enhance your social media accounts' protection against these internet pests. (And bonus, they'll level up your content all around, too!)
Read about implementing effective social media marketing content, sans spam, at https://magnoliamedia.group/avoid-spam-triggers.
Think no one pays attention to your content? You might not be producing what they want to see.
📈 9 of 10 of marketers say video marketing has given them a good ROI.
📹 38% of those doing video marketing create all content without the help of external vendors.
💲 Half of them are spending 40% or less of their marketing budget on videos.
The takeaway?
Video grabs people's attention – and it doesn't take your entire budget to make it memorable.
👉 Start introducing video content wherever you can.
See how it works for your organization.
Then keep what works, and ditch what doesn't.

Client work spotlight | For our nonprofit client StreetWise's second annual gala, we created three professional videos, with the help of our talented videographer partner, Matt. We're grateful for freedom. Happy Independence Day from MMG!
Today is the first day of Q3; we're officially halfway through 2024.
Maybe you accomplished far more than you thought you would these first six months of the year – maybe you accomplished less. Either way, be encouraged with this...
Your mission matters.
Your story is worth telling.
You're never too late to set new goals.
We've still got a lot of good to do this year, so let's do it!
Quick tip of the day: Look for stories everywhere.
Within your organization there are untold stories just waiting to be shared. And when they are, they'll help prove to others what you already know: that your organization is special and is doing great work.
So seek out great stories – you WILL find them!
“I don't believe in charity. I believe in solidarity. Charity is so vertical. It goes from the top to the bottom. Solidarity is horizontal. It respects the other person. I have a lot to learn from other people.” – Eduardo Galeano
Even a small change can make a big difference.
Why A/B testing is worth it:
🔍 Discovering what works: By testing different approaches, verbiage, creatives, etc., you can uncover what resonates best with YOUR audience and attract more like them.
📈 Optimizing performance: Small changes can lead to improved engagement, higher conversion rates and better ROI. (Especially when working with a tight budget, getting the most for your money matters!)
💡 Staying agile: Let's face it – things change all the time, so in such a rapidly evolving market, being able to adapt quickly is key to staying ahead.
Remember, marketing involves learning and refining, so don’t be afraid to experiment and see what happens.
From adding an emoji to your caption to making your ad's CTA more direct to adding a punchy opening line in your donation appeal – keep the little things in mind.
Happy testing!
All nonprofits can achieve the same results with the same marketing plan – right? WRONG!
We've specialized in nonprofit marketing for years, and while there IS overlap in how best to communicate to your audience, each organization is different.
What works for one nonprofit might not work for yours. Not only should you consider geographic and demographic factors, but your nonprofit's goals also have to be considered.
All of these pieces come together to make up the your unique marketing plan and strategy, helping you decide whether to focus on your time and funds on LinkedIn or Facebook, email newsletters or print mailers.
Friday marketing spotlight | Gala follow-up
Friday marketing spotlight | Galas are a big way to draw attention to your nonprofit's work.
They're also a way to, if you're not careful, do a lot of asking without much thanks.
Corners Outreach's gala follow-up email is an example of follow-up done right.
They highlighted the people who attended, thanked them for their contribution to Corners' cause and provided an update on their capital campaign goal.
They also took it a step further by acknowledging their fans who were unable to attend and sharing a glimpse into the evening.
Also included was a call-to-action with clear directions on how to give and how it makes a difference when you do.
Any kind of follow-up is better than none at all, but one like this is effective for several audiences. Great work, Corners Outreach!
