A military parade in Abkhazia in the the "Day of Victory in the Patriotic War of 1992-1993"
A military parade, the "Immortal Regiment march|, and the laying of wreaths marked the commemoration of a significant milestone today in Abkhazia – the 30th anniversary of the conclusion of the Georgian-Abkhaz war. In Abkhazia, this date holds special significance as it is celebrated as "the Day of Victory in the Patriotic War of 1992-1993."
"Our people endured a harrowing and bloody conflict that claimed the lives of thousands. This victory profoundly shaped the trajectory of Abkhazia's contemporary history. On August 14, 1992, when the armed forces of the State Council of Georgia invaded the Republic of Abkhazia, the Georgian leadership issued grave threats of physical violence against the entire Abkhazian populace. With armored vehicles, aircraft, and artillery at their disposal, they seized Sukhum and occupied Gagra, gaining control over a portion of Abkhazian territory. Georgian troops then commenced a spree of looting residences and institutions, engaged in extrajudicial killings, and demonstrated their animosity through all possible means, bringing death to innocent civilians," declared President Aslan Bzhania in his address to the people of Abkhazia.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has criticized "Yerevan's simple-minded logic," condemning Armenia for co-operating with the West, such as its intention to hold joint military exercises with the United States.
"We regret the actions of the Armenian leadership. The Armenian-American exercises look all the more strange because Armenia has been refusing to participate in CSTO exercises for two years now.
They explain it in the following way: if the CSTO as an allied entity with Armenia's participation condemned Azerbaijan, then Armenia would work in the CSTO.
We ask: why do you communicate with Americans, Europeans, who do not condemn Azerbaijan? They say: they are not our allies, you should condemn them. Such a strange, simple logic".
Lavrov also said that Yerevan itself "postponed" the issue of the CSTO mission on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, which, according to him, was agreed at the CSTO summit in Yerevan in 2021.
"It's better if first Georgia goes up in flames and then Armenia, then Russia will have a land road to Iran," a well-known propagandist Solovyov said on a Russian TV channel.

"No, this time we will not stop in Tbilisi. If they set fire to the South Caucasus, we will have no other option, we will be forced to go all the way. So it will be a completely different level of hostilities.
