There are lots of tips on how to feel more comfortable in front of the camera. I’ve got a whole list; attach a picture of your biggest cheerleader just below the lens, wear your favorite outfits etc. But, let’s take this conversation one level deeper. What really is the reason you’re not getting in front of the camera? Identifying one of your deeper fears can free you from paralysis by analysis. One of mine that can raise its little head is worrying about what others may think. “who does she think she is?” Know that one? Whats one of yours? identifying it is half the battle

Short form video is talked about a lot lately. A short form video is identified as anything from two seconds to 30 seconds. Why are short form videos so popular? Well with all the noise out there attention spans are even shorter and also there are more chances for more engagement from viewers. Someone is more apt to rewatch a video that is 15 to 30 seconds then a three minute video. At least I know I am.

I know for some of us it’s hard to keep up on the latest video trends. And trying to figure out where to put your energy can be confusing. I wanted to just make note that FB is now going to focus on the short video format. After a hit in the stock market they are redirecting their focus. So if you’re more comfortable on FB now is the time to do a reel.

I would always say I was a late bloomer when it came to my work. And always feel I should be further along. But I realize now I was always where I was suppose to be. Everything in its own timing. As I build out my business to include video coaching- helping others to feel more confident in front of the camera it feels good to help others to express themselves in their own timing.
