Another way to look at love on Valentine's Day...
💕 The trap of comparison or an affirmation that it's possible?
💕 Who defines better? Better isn't superior; it's a glimpse into your future.
💕 Love is right now, as you are, as your life is. That kind of acceptance is the key to everything that comes next.
😘 😘 😘 😘 😘 😘 😘 😘 😘
Photo dump! January was packed full of goodness!
🤩 If you aren't reading my blog, following me on LinkedIn or Medium, you're missing out on 50-for-50 challenge, my celebration/experiment/goal to make the most of our lives and level up across the board! 🤩
Are you interested in leveling up too? Let's talk.
We are planning our Thanksgiving menu, and this year’s theme is food inspired by our Family Europe Trip.
Which reminded me that I haven’t shared the trip recap!
You know, it’s my third favorite part after taking the trip and planning the trip (the life coach in me has to remind you that anticipating, being present in the moment, and savoring are three proven happiness strategies).
So look for that coming soon:
🌟 Family of 14 - yes, this one was all of us! 🌟
3 parts:
1️⃣ All of us in Munich, Salzburg, and Prague
2️⃣ The Night Train to Budapest (Hogwarts Express style!)
3️⃣ Linking back up in Bratislava and Vienna
Here are a couple of photos to whet your appetite. It was all new places and a Bucketlist destination. Plus, can you guess which stop was our favorite?

Our Big Family Adventure 2023: Our first stop was supposed to be Ljubliana, Slovenia…
We were flying Air France direct to Paris, then continuing to Ljubliana, where we would spend two nights and three days seeing the city, caves, and Lake Bled. From there, we would take the train to Salzburg.
Except after sitting on the tarmac for far too long, the Captain reported that the left engine failed. I was glad we found that out before our trip and not over the Atlantic!
They automatically rebooked us, and it was laughable—some of us to JFK for two days, others to Dallas. We were a party of 14 and rerouted all over, disrupting our itinerary and delaying our trip. It seemed impossible, but then I remembered Munich.
Coincidentally, on the way to the airport, our brother-in-law was reminiscing about the time he took the train from Munich to Salzburg. Since it was our second stop, and it seemed we would miss Ljubliana anyway, I wondered if we could skip Paris and fly direct to Munich.
My brother and his hubby sorted it all out while the rest of us took the kids home to bed. The next morning, we woke to direct flights on Lufthansa and returned to the airport.
✈️ Thank you, Air France! ✈️
When we landed, the first text I saw was an alert that, due to unprecedented flooding, parts of the train track between Ljubliana and Salzburg washed out! We wouldn’t have been able to continue our trip as planned anyway.
So, for this one, Slovenia was not meant to be. Maybe another time.
We only had one night in Munich, so we explored a bit despite the wet, dreary weather and, of course, went to a pub. The following day, we hopped on a train to Salzburg, and wouldn’t you know it? We were back on track with our original itinerary.
It all worked out!

🏰 Exploring Vienna's Hofburg Palace 🏰
This stunning palace, with its rich history and architectural grandeur, is a powerful reminder of the Habsburg dynasty. Originally designed to be even grander, it was meant to complete a perfect circle. But as we know, history often takes unexpected turns.
Beyond its beauty, the Hofburg holds a complex past. On March 15, 1938, Adolf Hitler stood on this balcony, announcing the Anschluss, the annexation of Austria into the Third Reich. After WWII, the balcony was closed off, sparking ongoing debates about its future.
Visiting this site, along with the Schönbrunn Palace, the Habsburgs' summer residence, offers a glimpse into a bygone era.
Travel, for me, is a catalyst for many things: tolerance, perspective, gratitude, personal growth, and family connection.
But how does this relate to my coaching? 🌟
Work/life balance isn't just about compromise; it's about enhancing the quality of both work and LIFE. Many women I work with aspire to spend more time with their children, but their vision often stops there. They may not see how traveling with their kids, taking extended breaks, or immersing themselves in history can be part of their balanced life.
My mission is to inspire you to think bigger. Work/life balance is about unlocking the full potential of your life, not settling for less. Your quality of life matters, and you have the power to shape it. 🌍✨

This is a post about how AI will change your life if you are an entrepreneur, executive, or woman in business.
But first, you know those memes about how it feels like the 80s were twenty years ago, but it's actually 40 years ago? I mean, how can 2000 be twenty years ago if 1980 was???
Anyway, there was a time when the Internet was not a thing. It was so not a thing that in the mid-90s, Katie Couric asked, "Yeah, but what IS the internet?" on the Today Show.
Google it and watch her and Bryant Gumbel (plus clips from Bill Gates) flashback.
Here's my point: 👉 I keep hearing women ask, "Yeah, but what is AI?" It's the wrong question.
It's here, and it will be inescapable in the same way that it's hard to believe there was a time without the Internet. And it won't take 20 years.
Instead, ask how to get started and make it work for you.
I wrote a blog post with everything you need to know. Read it at www.kristiandrus.com/blog. It's the pinned post 📌 Can AI solve our work/life balance challenges, or is it just wishful thinking? 📌
Near the end of the post, I share how to practice and my free downloadable prompts to apply them to your business or career! It's so cool. Once it starts clicking, I'd love to hear all about it!
