After a 2-year pause due to Covid-19 regulations and precautions, First Baptist Church of Mandeville unveiled their Live Nativity Christmas Celebration “A Mandeville Christmas,” with five of the ten stations.
They look forward to Christmas 2023 when the additional five stations in their previous celebrations will be again added.
This is the twelfth time in fourteen years First Baptist Church held the Live Nativity!
The Mandeville Skippers were well represented Saturday November 26, 2022 by Jack Henderson 0, Taron Jones 22, Landon Fowler, Tyson Carter, Trinity Livaudais and Jenna Macaluso (Cheer) in the SELU win over Idaho.

Supreme Court overturns Roe v. Wade.
In a 6-3 decision, the Supreme Court today overturned Roe v. Wade, the landmark ruling that established the constitutional right to abortion in the U.S. in 1973.
“The Constitution does not confer a right to abortion; Roe and Casey are overruled; and the authority to regulate abortion is returned to the people and their elected representatives,” a syllabus of the opinion said.

Poseidon is back!
After 734 days since Poseidon last rolled, the Krewe hit the streets of Slidell with the theme, “Poseidon Looks to The Heavens.”
Northshore High School’s JROTC led the parade followed by The United States Marine Reserve Band based in New Orleans. They were followed by 25 Floats and such notables as: The Southern University Marching Jaguar Band, Honey Island Clydesdales, Golden Sioux Mardi Gras Indians, Mande Milkshakers, Disco Amigos, Oui Dats, Chairy Chicks, The Dance Connection, Muff-a-Lottas and the 610 Stompers. Also in their Mardi Gras debut was the Covington Louisiana based female group, Lollipops.
New Orleans artist Terrance Osborne served as Grand Marshal. Andy and Sue Prude reign as Poseidon VII royalty.

End of an era!
Payton is stepping down as head coach of the Saints, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported Tuesday.
Payton, 58, leaves the Saints with an overall regular-season record of 152-89 and a postseason mark of 9-8, including one Super Bowl victory and the 2006 AP Coach of the Year award, in 15 seasons. (from NFL.com).
The 4th Annual Mandeville King Day Walking Parade, hosted by the Mande Milkshakers was held today, Saturday January 22. 2022.
Usually held on the Saturday closest to Kings Day, also known as Three Kings Day, Theophany, Epiphany, the parade heralds the return of Carnival season.
Originally scheduled on January 8, 2022 but was postponed.
