A Heat Advisory will be in effect for the inland regions due to high temperatures from the 90s to near 100. The Heat Advisory comes into effect on Tuesday for the North Bay and East Bay interior and Wednesday for the South Bay and Central Coast interior. All Heat Advisories expire on Thursday evening.

Did you know? In 1921, a wealthy gambling hall owner, John W. Marchbank, converted the 255-acre Sulphur Springs Ranch on Ygnacio Valley Road into a thoroughbred horse training facility. He named it Heather Farm after his champion stallion, Heather King.

It soon became one of the most prominent horse-breeding farms in the country. During the Great Depression, movie stars Clark Gable and Madge Evans filmed scenes for an MGM movie, Sporting Blood, at Heather Farm. It was Gable’s first starring role.
