President Trump continues to attack Ukrainian President Zelenskyy, asserting in a Truth Social post that the U.S. was duped into spending billions to help Ukraine defend itself after Russia’s 2022 invasion – and himself seemingly threatening the country’s existence.

Trump’s remarkable attack Wednesday came after Zelenskyy said earlier that the president was “surrounded by misinformation” in response to the president’s earlier comments blaming Ukraine for starting the war. This week, Trump administration negotiators began meeting with Russian officials – without Ukraine at the table – to begin negotiations to potentially end the war Russia started.

“From the earliest days of her career as one of California’s most devoted public servants, Senator Feinstein has been a stalwart supporter of the LGBTQ community,” Chad Griffin, then president of the Human Rights Campaign, said in endorsing Feinstein’s reelection bid in 2018. “As Donald Trump and Mike Pence attempt to undo our progress and drag our country backwards, Senator Feinstein is standing up to this administration’s dangerous attacks on LGBTQ people and fighting for the equal dignity of all Americans."

Feinstein was slow to embrace marriage equality but eventually did, and she supported the community in other ways.
