As the Christmas break approaches, Masambongians join in the festive season with the celebration of EsP Month. The culminating activities were held in Masambong High School, last December 13, 2023 with the theme "Paskong kay Saya kapag tayo'y Nagkakaisa at Sama-Sama".
The celebration started with a prayer led by the EsP Club followed by the singing of Nationalistic song through an Audio Visual Presentation. Mrs. Novilla S. Marcelino and Ms. Glenda Manunday, Teachers, EsP Department, was the Master of Ceremonies. Dr. Reynaldo E. Casing, Principal of Masambong High School gave his opening remarks before the commencement of the activities.
Masambongians joined the thrilling activities prepared by the EsP Department this year. All the grade levels competed in the Parol Making Contest, the Grade 7 learners participated in the Tableau, the Grade 8 learners joined โTunog-Tao Christmas Carolingโ, Grade 9 learners showcased their talent in Modern Caroling and the Grade 10 learners showed the crowd their prowess in dancing during the Interpretative Dance Contest
Winners received certificates and cash prizes. The winners of Tableau are Section 7-Dahlia,1st place, Section 7-Gumamela won the 2nd place and Section 7-Sampaguita won 3rd place.
Grade 8 learners also showed their competitiveness in the Tunog-Tao Christmas Caroling Competition. Section 8-Rizal and 8-Bonifacio won 1st place and 2nd place, respectively, while Section 8-Jacinto secured the 3rd place.
For the Modern Caroling Competition, Section 9-Diamond aced the said activity with their angelic voices. Section 9-Amethyst won the 2nd place and Section 9-Garnet was awarded 3rd place
Learners from Grade 10 revealed their groove as they participated in the Interpretative Dance Competition. Section 10-Copernicus got the jive and won 1st place, Section 10-Aristotle won 2nd place, and Section 10-Galileo and 10-Darwin won as the 3rd placers.
Grade 7-Sampaguita, Grade 8-Aguinaldo and Grade 9-Amethyst showed their creativity as they won the Parol Making Competition in their respective grade levels. Grade 10 Galileo showed their uniqueness and cleverness as they won in their grade level. Galileo also represented MHS in the District Competition of Parol Making where they won as 4th placer.
The way learners complete the said activities revealed how competitive and talented Masambongians are.
After the performances, the EsP Department gave gifts to 130 students of Masambong High School. The smile on the faces of the studentโs what makes this celebration more meaningful.
Also, to make this year's celebration of holidays significant, we should make meaningful things. Let's take to heart the true spirit of the holiday season, do good to others. Show our love to God through doing good deeds.
