Ascent has challenged me to take more significant risks with DJing by playing a mashup (Saving the Collision) I produced in one of my sets for the first time, digging deep to find a fusion of unique sounds, and taking inspiration from different genres like techno and trance to craft a mix that has helped rediscover to my music aspirations.

Congratulations to Fanshawe College Woodstock/Oxford Regional Campus Business Entrepreneurship & Management Graduate (Class of 2023) Mauricio Ortiz on opening his business RacingXperience at 358 Dundas Street in Downtown Woodstock. RacingXperience is a virtual reality racing experience where you can drive like your favourite F1 or Indy car driver on actual circuits worldwide. It’s perfect for birthday parties, corporate team bonding or a fun night in Woodstock.

When Mauricio approached me in his final term with the concept, I was excited by the innovative idea. Seeing the immediate impact of our BEM students in our community is incredible. It is a proud teacher moment and a fantastic start to the new school year!

It was an unforgettable night, surprising my Dad with Ajax tickets while touring the Netherlands and Belgium in December. Ajax has been undefeated since in the Eredivisie since we attended the game vs Sparta Rotterdam. I am taking full credit for this and posting before this before the big game versus PSV this weekend. 😂

In September, I was appointed Program Coordinator of Fanshawe College’s Business Entrepreneurship & Management program. In this new role, I’m eager to continue developing our diploma program and student experience. As a proud alumnus and now Professor of Digital Marketing and Website Design for the past five years. I am excited to help shape the future of this program and to see what our graduates will accomplish.
