In September, I was appointed Program Coordinator of Fanshawe College’s Business Entrepreneurship & Management program. In this new role, I’m eager to continue developing our diploma program and student experience. As a proud alumnus and now Professor of Digital Marketing and Website Design for the past five years. I am excited to help shape the future of this program and to see what our graduates will accomplish.

An unreal end to the Canadian Grand Prix weekend with meeting . I’ve been listening to Martijn’s music for over a decade now and have played his music in countless episodes of . He continues to be a massive inspiration with his contributions to music and his creative vision. Seeing someone the same age and killing is super motivating and makes me proud of what Martijn has accomplished already in his career. My first Martin Garrix show is one to remember.

This is one of my favourite photographs I’ve taken in a long time. I spent a day walking through the streets of Amsterdam, reacquainting myself with a city I hadn’t seen in a few years. There wasn’t a plan other the taking time to make new memories in a place that I had missed. I sat on a canal-side bench as the warm June sun shined on my face, reflecting on the past few months before venturing into familiar and unfamiliar neighbourhoods. I turned down a quiet street to see the photo composition start to come together. The vintage Peugeot convertible parked on the edge of the Keizersgracht, with the sun setting behind the historic canal houses. This was the shot. It was only one of the 12 photos that I took that day.

It’s back. The EDM Weekly Podcast has returned after a two-year hiatus. I’m usually the type of person who plans extensively for a project like this, but I made this decision on Sunday, mixed it on Monday and recorded the vocals on Tuesday. It’s been an insanely fast process to make it happen for my Wednesday morning upload. It may surprise you that I’ve rebooted the podcast, and I’m also surprised, lol. As it's been an impulsive decision, there are a few things that I still need to work on, like the website, RSS feeds, socials and content. ICYMI: Morning Rave is a playlist that I curate on Spotify. It's a collection of electronic music that increases tempo as you listen or, as I call it, "music that wakes up with you." With this playlist, I have discovered so many new artists and found those deeper cuts to add to the playlist. Adding tracks with less than 2,000 plays from artists I have not heard of before. This year has been fantastic for music. For me, it’s been rediscovering my passion for music and finally starting play DJ Gigs. I saw incredible concerts like Armin van Buuren’s This Is Me: Feel Again in Amsterdam and Swedish House Mafia’s Paradise Again in Toronto. Watching a few of my favourite producers present their art and music live was really inspiring. To see their ability to take their fans on a emotional journey during their sets is always remarkable. I have so much excitement for music and starting to feel really inspired again. I recently started a playlist with a collection of electronic music that wakes up with you called Morning Rave (link in bio).

2021 Reflection: This summer, I traveled to Banff, Alberta for the first time and it was truly remarkable. I found myself just saying “wow” multiple times per day at the captivating Rockies that surrounded me. It’s one of the few places in the world that I was still in “awe” after a few days. From the majestic mountains to the blue-turquoise waters and the charm of the town. It’s easy to understand why Banff is a popular destination. To my surprise, the town of Banff is within Banff National Park with wildlife walking the streets. I felt really connected to nature and it was the first time that I had seen mountains in my life. I also witnessed the impacts of the wildfires that burned hundreds of kilometres away producing smoke that made many mountains disappear. The smell and taste of the fires were a little overwhelming but it didn’t take away from the beauty of this special place.

Go visit Banff if you have an opportunity or would like to explore Canada, I will be back soon.🇨🇦
