Every county in our immediate listening area has trick-or-treating planned for Halloween night.

Logan, Boone, Mingo, McDowell and Wyoming Counties – as well as Martin County, Kentucky – have all set their trick-or-treat times for six o’ clock to eight o’ clock tonight.

Lincoln and Wayne Counties have the earliest start times, both starting at 5:30 this evening. Lincoln County trick-or-treating goes until seven o’ clock and Wayne County goes until 7:30.

Pike County, Kentucky plans to keep the spooks going, with trick-or-treating hours set from six to nine.

Logan (6 p.m. - 8 p.m.)

Boone (6 p.m. - 8 p.m.)

Wyoming (6 p.m. - 8 p.m.)

McDowell (6 p.m. - 8 p.m.)

It’s movie night in downtown City of Logan West Virginia.

Come out! Carving starts around 5 p.m. and the movie at dark.

This weekend is our pumpkin carving night here in the City of Logan West Virginia. We will have our pumpkin patch set up ready for everyone to grab pumpkins and carve for the Women’s Club Pumpkin House that will be opening soon. We will have a hayride to take your pumpkins down once you finish them. We will have inflatables along with many great vendors to purchase some great items. We will also have Littles Cafe back again and Giovanis food truck will be there as well. At dark we will continue carving pumpkins and watch the Halloween classic Halloweentown. Man remains in jail for fatally shooting another man at an Ethel residence Sunday morning.

The alleged shooter was arraigned Sunday night. He is incarcerated at the Southwestern Regional Jail at Holden awaiting a preliminary hearing.

It was 33 years ago this month that West Virginia State Police arrested a man that escaped a prison transport in Ohio. Attorney Rob Kuenzel was the trooper that made the arrest. He recounted what happened on last week's edition of "Ask the Attorney."
