News Stories will be published around 9am(ish) GMT ... the winning song published around 9pm(ish) GMT .. Each player is limited to 8 song suggestions each day ....unless advised otherwise. Players are enouraged to 'comment' on and 'like' the suggestions of others. Good luck ...

Newsbeat has its' own jargon with which any new members may be unfamiliar with. Listed below is a glossary of such jargon. DOUBLER - A doubler is where both the song and the artist is relevant to the day's event. We do not score doublers but take extreme pride in presenting them to our peers. At random , The Team will declare a 'Doubler Day' where they ARE scored and double points given. TREBLER - Song,artist ,album
QUADROOPLER - Song,artist,album,band member. (PLEASE NOTE : Treblers and quadrooplers are not for faint of heart.) SEMI - DOUBLER - Any other combination other than song and artist ( i.e. song and country featured in the day's headline etc . )
(PLEASE NOTE : Semi can also be appended to treblers and quadrooplers but semi-treblers and semi-quadrooplers are definetly not for faint of heart !)
SIDEWAYS SPIN - If the occasion or headline dictates it , we will take a sideways spin . On Spin Days members are permitted to submit 6 spin songs on top of the regular 8 . The Spin will always have relevance to the day's main game .Members are encouraged to 'like' the spins of others . Most 'likes' on the day recieves a point. SIDEWAYS DOUBLER - See Doubler but Sideways. TRIPLE SPIN - A 3 in 1 Spin song .Our very own Sandra invented the triple spin. NIGHT OWL - Our night time game . Exactly the same . Just on a night . Named in honour of Gerry Rafferty who died in the week of our first Night Owl. The Night Owl game is not played every night , watch the Wall for any announcements regarding Night Owl games. 9 TO 5 - Song suggestions for jobs and professions . BIG BREAK - Record breakers from around the world . Players are allowed 6 song suggestions on side games unless advised otherwise. We will award 2 points for side game winning songs and 1 point for second place . Any bonus points can be awarded at the discretion of the judge on the day .
