The communists, authoritarians and dictators like Putin of Russia,Lukeshenke of Belarus and Yoweri Museveni of Uganda, not forgetting his son Muhozi Kainerugaba always survive by sowing/creating POLITICAL VIOLENCE amongst their political opponents.

In addition to the above, during the Election period, they created weak and false opposition for themselves so that they can win an election organised by them.

For instance in Uganda, during 2016 election period, Museveni with his friend;John Patrick Amama Mbabazi(with his T.D.A) created political violence amongst the opposition. The two fooled the world that Amama Mbabazi is the strongest opposition leader in Uganda in 2016 General elections.

Even in 2021 General election, Museveni created false and weak opposition by sponsoring some political opponents who are not Royal to his strongest competitors so that they can compete with him in an election with intentions of fooling the world.

🇺🇬📢📢📢 Y'ello! Effective 19/04/2024, a valid ID is required for mobile money deposits & withdrawals of UGX 1 million & above as per Bank of Uganda directive.

👉🏿The Bank of Uganda Governor is trying to help Yoweri Kaguta Museveni stay in power for long since most Ugandans use mobile money for transaction and yet they lack valid national IDs.
👉🏿But one may think that the regime's aim is to oppress those involved in money laundering and yet they are targeting Museveni's political opponents.

🇺🇬📢📢📢Following the aftermath of 18th/19th November 2018 protest in Uganda🇺🇬, Yoweri Kaguta Museveni's regime has failed to demonstrate political will to take accountability seriously thus no credible/prompt, impartial and full investigation to hold perpetrators to account.
👉🏿We all know that Justice and accountability are critical for breaking the cycle of violence.

In addition to the above,Yoweri Kaguta Museveni's continues to disrespect the rule of law. Many of Museveni's political opponents are being detained by the regime without due process, transparency shows continued failure by Museveni's regime to open Civic and political space.

Security officers deny access to Museveni's political opponents from visiting political prisoners, thus denying the world🌍 from knowing the condition in which they are.
Security officers also keep blocking Museveni's political opponents from carrying out their activities ie (Football tournament in busoga sub region was blocked).

👉🏿We all know that political activities are crucial for ensuring representation and participation in democracy.

👉🏿Therefore, blocking of such activities denies the people of Uganda a voice in government.

According to International laws,a detainee has a right to challenge lawfulness of detention before a court.
Unlike in Uganda🇺🇬,where Citizens detained without charge do not have the right to sue the Attorney General's office for compensation for unlawful detention due to corruption, understaffing, inefficiency, and executive-branch interference with judicial rulings. This also always undermines Courts' Independence and yet Uganda's constitution & law provide for an independent Judiciary.

U S Secretary Antony Blinken:Today’s verdict on Uganda’s Anti-Homosexuality Act undermines human rights and public health for all and poses grave threats to LGBTQI+ Ugandans and allies. Uganda’s international reputation and ability to increase foreign investment depend on equality under the law.

"TOGETHER AGAINST YOWERI KAGUTA MUSEVENI's AGGRESSION/AUTOCRACY IN UGANDA🇺🇬"

▶️"The Decolonisation of Education and Research in Uganda🇺🇬:
Theoretical challenges and practical tasks"

🟥For decades, the fight for Freedom/true independence for Uganda has united hundreds of thousands of Ugandans worldwide. Every year,Ugandans worldwide participate in various events like joining conferences, conventions, peaceful demonstrations, revolutionary music events. And 2024 will be no exception.

*Political propaganda and blackmail* :
Museveni now fools the world that the problem of Uganda is NOT corruption(Anita Among,Uganda's parliamentary speaker involved in a corruption scandal),As he tries to defend her,he claims that they are outright traitors working for wrong foreigners like homosexuals and imperialists. He is scared of those Ugandans who talk(spread) impunity on social media.

“Wherever you go, you can find Ugandans.'' And they all have different stories. Some left Uganda🇺🇬 just yesterday, while others did it years ago. Some were even born abroad but still feel Ugandan because they honor their roots. Our love for Uganda🇺🇬 and our desire to see it become a free country brings us together, no matter where we are. Despite the thousands of kilometers that may separate us from our homeland, we find ways to unite and support each other. To show that we stand together. Perhaps that’s why our solidarity always infinitely inspires us.

There are many issues in today’s world🌍, and perhaps Uganda🇺🇬 is not in the spotlight right now. But it’s precisely on occassions/events like conventions, peaceful demonstrations days, revolutionary music shows, etc that we can loudly remind the world about Uganda🇺🇬. Remind everyone that our strength lies in unity, cooperation, and mutual support. Show that despite all the challenges and difficulties, we preserve and respect our traditions, culture, and history, which make us unique”.

👉🏿*What can you do to support Uganda

🇺🇬📢📢📢History shows us: If we stand by while murderers(Museveni and Putin) abuse and violate Ugandans' human rights with impunity, they will keep going.

In the case of Museveni and his son Muhoozi Kainerugaba, that means all of Africa and the world at large would be threatened. If we fail to stand up to Yoweri Kaguta Museveni's illegitimate regime, other authoritarians and communists would be emboldened.

*Digital Press Briefing on Power of Democracy and the Future of Peacekeeping in Africa After the AU Financing Security Council Resolution*
*SPECIAL BRIEFING*

*U.S. AMBASSADOR TO THE UNITED NATIONS, AMBASSADOR LINDA THOMAS-GREENFIELD*

*JANUARY 31, 2024*

*SUMMARY*
*Digital press briefing with US UN Ambassador Linda Thomas-Greenfield following her trip to Guinea-Bissau, Liberia, and Sierra Leone.* During the press briefing, Ambassador Thomas-Greenfield also discussed the recent United Nations Security Council Resolution 2719 on financing African Union-led support operations, and its impact on peacekeeping missions in Africa.

MODERATOR: Good afternoon and welcome to everyone from the London International Media Hub, teaming up today with our colleagues from the Africa Regional Media Hub. I’d like to welcome our participants who are logging in from across the African continent and globally to thank all of you for joining this discussion. Today, we’re very pleased to be joined by U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations, Ambassador Linda Thomas-Greenfield.

We’ll begin today’s call with opening remarks from Ambassador Thomas-Greenfield and then we’ll turn to your questions. We’ll try to get to as many of them as possible during the briefing.

As a reminder, today’s call is on the record. And with that, I will turn it over to Ambassador Linda Thomas-Greenfield.

AMBASSADOR THOMAS-GREENFIELD: Thank you very much, Margaret, and thank you all for joining us here today. As you know, I just returned from an incredibly productive, incredibly meaningful trip to Liberia, Sierra Leone, and Guinea Bissau. And I’d be remiss not to note that my stop in Guinea Bissau, a country I had never visited before, means that I’ve been to all but three countries on the continent of Africa. So that’s not too shabby.

Over the past week, I covered a lot of territory – literally and figuratively. But there were a few core themes that wove through the entire trip.

*Online Press Briefing with Assistant Secretary of State for African Affairs, Molly Phee*

SPECIAL BRIEFING

*MOLLY PHEE,* ASSISTANT SECRETARY
BUREAU OF AFRICAN AFFAIRS

*JANUARY 30, 2024*

MODERATOR: Good afternoon from the State Department’s Brussels Media Hub. I would like to welcome everyone joining us for today’s virtual press briefing. We are very honored to be joined by the Assistant Secretary in the Bureau of African Affairs, Molly Phee.

A quick reminder that today’s briefing is on the record. And with that, why don’t we go ahead and get started. Assistant Secretary Phee, thank you so much for joining us today. I’ll turn it over to you for opening remarks.

ASSISTANT SECRETARY PHEE: Thank you, John, for helping organize this opportunity to speak with friends and colleagues across the continent. Thank you all for taking the time to speak with me today. I’m looking forward to updating you on U.S. policy with Africa, and I’d like to start by talking about Secretary Blinken’s recent trip to the continent. You saw that we traveled to four countries: Cape Verde, Cote d’Ivoire, Nigeria, and Angola. It was a great opportunity to see the impact of U.S. programs and activities, and to listen to our partners about their ambitions and concerns and how we can partner together to meet the challenges on the continent and globally.

We – the Secretary, when he was in Lagos, he said something that I think is important that I want to highlight. He said how in the past the United States was working to deliver for Africans, and now we are looking at how we can partner to do activities with Africans. So it’s a shift from assisting, although we still continue to provide assistance, but to genuinely partnering on how we can work together to address challenges, again, on the continent and globally.

So a lot of the conversation he had was to talk about the commitment of President Biden and Secretary Blinken to elevating African voices in the international a
