If commercials pay the bills, indie films fill the heart. Thank you to all our collaborators, old and new, for another great year of filmmaking.

The year started and will end with our marathon shoot, GENTLE REMINDERS, starring .swader. We made a bloody fun werewolf music video with . Filmed deep underground for ‘s Lynchian nightmare of a debut feature. Had a career full-circle moment 1st AD’ing a short for my AD dad . Then we brought in a dang process trailer for ‘s BABA, I’M FINE. Finally, we were invited back to play with old friends to put a final button on SCP: Academy.

Can’t wait to see where all these partnerships take us in 2024.

Thanks for having us, and thank you to all who keep coming out to join in our chaos. You know who you are.

what a wonderful f**king thing to not AD my own shoot. The shoot was smooth and safe and I can’t ask for much more than that!

The greens squad, led by Brandon Plonka, built a f**king forest in a sound stage. Enough said.

and of course, the SPEED in speed leather & hell. handled all things motorcycle related. Grateful for all you brought to the table.

If the set is the canvas and the camera is the paintbrush, then the lighting is the paint with which you use to bring your image to life. .vandermolen and the team have been at the top of the game for a long time, and I’m grateful to have had such pros on our set.

Tim Long and Sam Owoc are regulars around here and we are perpetually lucky to work with them.

With more than enough work cut out for them, they still managed to teach a small army of new crew people how to sling light.

We saw incredible, inspiring shorts and attended a wonderful, thoughtfully curated filmmaker conference.
