“The present is a song I wrote in 2019 and has been rolling around in my head ever since. It was recorded entirely in my garage and layered with tin whistle and reed organ. Textures you will find in abundance throughout the album. The Present features Del on the vocals and is one of my favourite songs on the record.” - James Sullivan

We’re thrilled to announce the new album from NZ power poppers Best Bets “The Hollow Husk of Feeling” is coming out on 27 September. Co-release with our friends at Melted Ice Cream in NZ.

The first single from the record is called “Monster” and it’s out today! It’s Joe Sampsons’ first songwriting contribution to the band, adding another colour to Best Bets’ already bountiful lyrical palette, indicative of his style and work in Salad Boys.
