It’s been such a long time since we actually lived through what you see in this video, but every time I watch these clips, it’s as if I’m living it all over again. Slowly we will catch you up on things so that we can post in real time. We are realizing during this video that we are going to be in the hospital longer than anticipated and it’s really starting to get to us. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jpfbJOnVu30

The night of surgery brought some very funny entertainment from post-anesthesia and pain med induced Brittany reacting to the thunderstorms outside that should be fun for y'all to watch LOL! But unfortunately, the night of surgery also brought some problems and a lot of pain that continues.

So many of you have asked how you can support us through this journey and so we have now set up ways for you to be able to do so. You are now able to donate through PayPal, Venmo or GoFund Me

We are in the process of setting up a Patreon and support subscriptions through our website so that you can give monthly if you choose to. When you subscribe for monthly donations, you'll also receive additional communication with us such as emails or our Facebook group in order to stay more in touch with us and get updated on where we currently are in our journey in real time!

Again, we just want to thank you all so much for the love and support we have received from all of you. We never expected for these videos to reach so many people, but we know that God is telling an amazing story within our lives and we want others to be able to experience His goodness alongside us.

Even through my break from social media and my silence, one thing remained the same. I knew that God was still calling me to share the journey. The actual act of editing the vlogs and posting them became too much for me for a while, but I always knew there would come a day for me to start sharing again. And as the day has arrived I’ve been trying to figure out the best way to “come back” because if I’m being honest - I’m really nervous to start posting and sharing again. But all I can do is just take it one day at a time and do the best I can. So even though it feels weird for me to come back after a silence so long, I just have to start again. I’m starting exactly where I am and just going to keep going and see what happens.

Thank you all for supporting us and for all your encouraging words and prayers! We really need them right now and they don’t go unnoticed or unappreciated! We have a lot of videos to catch you up on because while we weren’t posting, we were still videoing. So there’s a lot of content to catch you up on. I can’t make any promises about when they’ll be posted or what the posting schedule will be because it would be unfair to get y’all’s expectations up when I am not able to meet them because of my situation. So all I can say is that I’m going to start sharing again . . . And there’s a lot to share!

02/04/2022

Okay y’all I need your help! I have no idea what to do for my birthday because I’ve never really celebrated before.

I was never one to make a big deal out of my birthday, but my life has since changed. On my birthday, April 6th of 2021, I started cancer treatments. And I’ve been scared now that my birthday is going to be a reminder of cancer like so many other things in my life. But then my therapist said “It doesn’t have to be” and those words hit me way harder than I expected.

Yes, my life has completely changed, but that doesn’t mean that my life is bad. So this year, I’m determined to make my birthday count! I’m not just going to let it pass me by as if it’s just another normal day like I have done in the past. And I’m not going to let it be wracked with cancer sadness. I want my birthday to be a celebration of another year that God has given me to live. A celebration of all the good things that have happened to me leading up to this point. A starting point for things to only get better from here on out. I CHOOSE to be joyful and celebrate! Notice that I said it’s a choice, And it’s not necessarily an easy choice to make. But I only get to live this year once and so I want to make the most of it. Because if cancer has taught me anything, it’s that your attitude and your response to what happens to you makes more of a difference in your life than the thing that actually happened to you.

So with that being said . . . what in the world should I do for my birthday?! I need all the ideas from you guys! Drop me a comment below with ideas or inspiration from what you have done/want to do on your birthdays!

This week was the anniversary of being diagnosed (March 15th 2021) “The mass we found is on the kidney . . . and it’s cancer. And it looks like it’s spreading.” And then in one day, my world was turned upside down and it hasn’t been right side up since.

I expected the anniversary to be big. To mean something. But the day was normal. And that’s when I realized - this is my normal now. When you’ve been doing something for a year, it’s no longer new. You’re used to it. You just simply live your life.

Recently my therapist asked me, “What would you tell March 15th 2021 Brittany?” It took me all day yesterday and today pondering and living this new life on the anniversary before I realized what I would say.

“Hey you. Listen to yourself and trust what I’m telling you. It’s going to be hard. It’s going to suck. Your life is never going to be the same again, but that’s not a bad thing. You’ll love Darrin deeper than you do right now. You’re going to be a unicorn. You’re going to be the weird case that stumps doctors. But remember, nothing that happens is a surprise to God. He has a purpose for all of what you’re going through. And you can do this by relying on Him. And as you rely on Him, you’ll be able to reach people in ways never imagined. You’ll touch lives for the kingdom. Your focus will be on heaven and not on things of this earth. You’ll find out just how many people really love you And along the way you’ll even begin healing from past hurts that you have buried so deep you don’t even realize they’re there. You’ll give up your photography business but you won’t give up your dream of running a business. It’s just going to look different and ultimately allow you more freedom. But most importantly, you’ll grow in your desire to know God more. It’s going to be a crazy year, but this upcoming year will be nothing compared to the wonderful life God has in store for you as He continues to work through you in order to help others. Hang on. It’s going to get bumpy but the view will be amazing."

Saying hey, update on our current cancer journey, the re-launch and rebranding of AMP and Black Friday teaser - yeah I know. It’s a lot to unload on y’all at one time. We’ve had quite a crazy ride over here and I can’t believe it’s been 2 MONTHS 😳 since we last posted!!!

I’m so sorry for freaking any of y’all out 😕 Please know that we have systems in place to where if (God forbid) anything crazy and really bad happened to us, y’all would be updated by some of our family so nobody would be left clueless.

Nothing got to that level of crazy - it just got to a point where even though we were still filming, I couldn’t edit together or post Vlogs because it put my health at risk.

We needed a break from having our lives on display what felt like 24/7. We never expected for as many people to start following along on our journey and it just became very overwhelming 😩 I’ve always lived a semiprivate life and then all of a sudden it’s like a soap opera and everyone was waiting for the next episode. We took a step back to be able to refocus on God 👏🏻 and our marriage and figure out how to move forward with what will likely become the new “normal” in our lives.

We have made the decision to outsource our vlogs to one of our best friends and videographer. Him and his wife are our closest friends and pretty much on the phone with us during appointments 😅 they know the journey intimately enough to be able to piece together the blog effectively to catch y’all back up to real time, but they don’t experience what I do when editing.

It’s really hard to bring ourselves to film the hard stuff to begin with, but then to have to sit behind a computer for hours (in a limited state of mind and wellbeing due to my health) and rewatch your worst living real life nightmare over and over again… It just became too much for me and so we’re addressing and fixing things moving forward.

I promise we aren’t going to stop sharing our testimony and we will always come back to update y’all when we can. For now, assume that no news is good news!

24/08/2021

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5T5x7no_CRM We should be getting back on track now for me sharing everything with y'all!! I've been battling with depression on top of traveling to Houston again, having a second surgery and recovery from that. It feels like the days are passing at lightening speed all while feeling like each individual day is a week long. Funny how time can do that!

A lot of people always ask me what it's like on a day-to-day basis living with cancer and so this episode dives into it a little bit. It's not what we intended this video to be about when we started filming but pain quickly set in, and we had to stop and roll with the punches. And that what day-to-day cancer life is. I've been trying to get better about filming what I consider the "boring stuff" because I get a lot of questions about how I function and what we do so hopefully more of this type of content will be coming soon!

Because of everything going on, I'm still embarrassingly behind on editing and posting. Up next on my list of editing is pre-surgery prep of the FIRST surgery but in real life, we have been home for right at a week after the second surgery. So get ready, because I'm sure a lot of videos will be flying out kinda quickly in order for me to catch y'all up on everything. Hope you have a great rest of your week and thank you SO MUCH for following along on the journey with us!!

https://youtu.be/Za1pSnkYM7g As we prepared for our surgery, we had several pre-op appointments we had to go through. And I honestly didn't think that they would go as well as they did after the night we had before. I wish I could say that I never doubt during this journey or that I'm never discouraged and that I'm always hopeful and trust God 100% but that would be a lie because I'm not perfect and I falter and this is a hard journey we are walking through.

But what amazes me, is that even in my doubt, God is STILL loving me and still taking care of me and providing ways for us before we ever even know we need anything. And when I see those things come into view, I'm reminded of just how amazing He is over and over again.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BCl5wm4s8gc Well it's about time that we just post a lighthearted video! I know most of our vlogs have been pretty heavy because there's so much being thrown at us during this current season. But we don't want to only focus on the bad. We want to focus on the truth of what our everyday life looks like during this season. And some days, that's finally convincing my husband to start taking care of the skin issues he's always complaining to me about. And let me tell ya - I don't think I laughed so hard or as much as I did while trying to do this!! If you want a peek into our relationship behind closed doors - here it is!

I am so grateful that my husband is not only an amazing godly leader and someone to hold me accountable in my relationship with God and that I can truly respect in the way that he lives his life and interact with others. But he really is my very best friend and the one person who can make me smile no matter how much pain I'm in and on the days that I'm in such a bad head space, I can't find anything else to thank God for - I always thank God for Darrin. When we got married 2 years ago, this is definitely not where we thought we would end up. But there's nobody else I can imagine going through this journey with than him.

When I actually catch him being his goofball self on video, it always brings me back to us working together for seniors sessions and him doing behind the scenes and feature videos for our clients. He is always the life of the party and makes everyone smile and feel seen and I'm sure all our seniors would agree LOL!

So while we are on the topic - let us know in the comments what type of videos you'd want to see from us or specific questions you want us to answer in a video other than our normal cancer life/vlogging style videos and we will do our best to make it happen!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ucQmpzkPQss At this point in our journey, a free day was exactly what we needed to be able to process everything that had happened to us over the last few days. While I am always in a pretty significant amount of pain, we do our best to make the most of our situation and just live everyday life to the fullest. Sometimes that means doing nothing but watching Dr Who together at our house, other days that means spending the day running around in town together and being "normal".

But what is consistent no matter what our day looks like is the support we are receiving from others and it never ceases to amaze us. The amount of people that we hear from (most of which we've never even met before!) that are praying for us and interceding to God on our behalf blows our minds and humbles us beyond all belief!! During this vlog we were reminded yet again of just how much love and support we have from our friends, family and community from someone that we didn't even know and we just had to share our God high! So if you are one of the people who have been praying for us, THANK YOU!! Your prayer and your support during this journey means more than you will ever be able to understand and through God's grace and Him providing encouragement through each and every single one of you, we somehow make it through our most difficult days.

https://youtu.be/k2I-Xcv1wKw Our oncology appointment that we had for our 5th treatment and our progress scans didn't exactly go as planned. This was a hard day for us and we still remember it vividly but what's amazing to me as I look back, is that I can still see evidence of how God was moving on our behalf before we ever even knew we needed it. And that's what He does for us on a daily basis. We don't know what each day is going to hold or what our doctors or the scans are going to show/tell us next, but we can have peace in the simple truth that God already knows and some days, that's all we can hold onto.

In real time, it's been a rough couple days over here. I've been in a lot of pain and we are prepping to leave for Houston tomorrow for our 6th treatment. I've been trying to catch up on editing/sharing these videos from our last treatment/surgery before we leave for this next trip but I'm not sure if it's going to be possible just because there is SO much that happens and therefore a lot of Vlog episodes. Thank y'all for being so patient with us as we figure out this new way of sharing and catch up on everything!

https://youtu.be/uPVwNZGJgx0 TRIGGER WARNING (Anxiety/Panic attack shown/discussed) This video was really hard to share with y'all. While going through and editing this video, Darrin and I both had to stop and walk away multiple times because it was hard for us to have to relive what we went through. But even through it all, I know that God is calling me to share this story no matter how difficult it gets.

I don't like that most days. Because most days I want to hide and pretend like this was all just one big nightmare, and that I'll wake up the next day and laugh that my imagination came up with something so crazy. But that's not the case. This is our reality right now. It doesn't always look pretty and most days it's anything but easy. But I can truly say that this season has brought me and Darrin both closer to God than we have either ever been before. This season is truly sanctifying us in our relationship with Christ and I can feel the change happening in our hearts on a daily basis.

TRIGGER WARNING (Anxiety/Panic attack shown/discussed) This video was really hard to share with y'all. While going through and editing this video, Darrin and...

01/08/2021

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nfPt-k1BAJM When I started vlogging, I didn't really take into account what it would be like to have to go back through all of these videos after filming and piece them together for y'all. No bad news happens in this video, but as I was editing through everything, I know what's coming in the next video. The Darrin and Brittany in this video had no idea what was coming. But when I was editing through everything, I knew what was going to happen next, and it was hard for me to edit through this video knowing what comes after this video. It almost made me want to stop editing and sharing entirely because I knew the next part would really hurt. But, for the sake of sharing God's story and for reaching other people and encouraging others, I knew I had to keep going. I had to keep editing no matter what comes next. Because I believe that in the end, when the story is over, it will make a difference in people's lives.

This all reminds me of the way that God works. God already knows what our every tomorrow looks like. We might not know what's coming or if it's going to be good or bad. But that's usually for the best. Because if we knew what was coming, we would likely be paralyzed with fear or start trying to control everything to change things. Because we can never truly understand what God's doing and why. God, in His infinite grace and wisdom, knows that we can only handle so much at a time. And so that's how He works with us. Day by day He sends His spirit to lead, guide and comfort us. And all we have to do is take it one step at a time and trust in Him. It's not always easy to do, but we can find peace in the fact that God already knows everything that's going to happen and He's already worked it out for His glory and for our good. And that's what we try to remember as we go forward each day. We don't always understand why something is happening, but we understand that God is good.

Buckle up, because it's about to get real interesting.

Get to Know Your Photographer

Hi yall! My name is Brittany, the owner and photographer at Always More Photography! I specialize in Wedding and Portrait Photography! I love working with my clients and providing customer service that isn’t typically seen in the photography industry. I strive to put the client above all else and go above and beyond any expectations! I love building lasting relationships with clients so that we become friends! I have a passion for being your go-to for all wedding planning, so you can just sit back and enjoy this season with your sweetheart! I love being able to reward the hard work that seniors have put in to get to graduation and beyond!

I strive to capture my clients in their truest form-The way that their friends and family sees them! I help instill confidence, and make memories and become a friend to you! I’m not just a photographer, I am a person who has had self doubt, insecurities, heart break, trials and tribulations, laughter, love and anything else life can throw an individual’s way. I am a person who loves getting to know people and sharing life’s burdens and joys, being there through the greatness and the disasters, enjoying the most important moments of life….oh yea, and I take pictures of it all!
