The street signs in Ireland have a distinctive style that's both traditional and modern. The signposts are painted in black and white, and they have a celtic-style font that's easy to read. What I love most about these signs is that they're bilingual. You'll see the name of the street in both English and Irish Gaelic.

Our first experience in the beautiful Tuscan region of Italy was in 2012. As we sipped on a glass of local wine we were adorned with a canopy of vines. Along with vineyards of grapes, Tuscany's vine flowers are a visual delight and an integral part of the region's cultural tapestry.

Tip: The best time to visit Tuscany is in mid-to-late spring (April to May) or early fall (September to October). The Tuscan landscape is at its most vibrant during these times and the weather is particularly pleasant

Mount Picchu is stunning in photos but breathtaking in real life. This is often considered one of the most iconic archaeological sites globally and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In 2012, we stayed in the town, Aguas Calientes, and took the bus ride to the entrance. This was a harrowing experience as it zig-zagged up the mountain.

Tip:
If not hiking to the mountain from the Inca trail but coming by train, then a must do when you arrive by bus to the entrance, is at least hike to Sun Gate to get a overall view of the site

Tip:
When visiting Machu Picchu, especially in areas with dense vegetation and warm climates, mosquitoes can be present. Consider wearing lightweight, long-sleeved shirts and long pants, especially during dawn and dusk when mosquitoes are more active.
