ifest themselves –in the same or a similar form- everywhere in the taxi industry. This brings us to the crucial point: The regional taxi industry, which acts at best nationally, is faced with major changes. It must respond to politically motivated legal regulations and coordinate the use of the latest technologies. Taxis must be integrated in the changing mobility needs of the population and continue to provide the best choice for door to door transportation. This is not a national challenge but an international one. The threat is no longer the local or regional competitor. For example, driver services such as Uber, Blacklane or Mydriver offer their services worldwide and it is easy for them to steal clients when competing with an industry that is only regionally active. It is time to work together in the search for solutions, it is time to start thinking out of the box of the own region. It is time for an international communication platform – from the taxi industry and for the taxi industry. This is the philosophy of Taxi Times.
