He takes pride in being able to read the crowd and switch up music on the spot, ensuring the party keeps going. Mike has been DJing for over 5 years and has DJed events and dances for crowds of over 1500! Mike wants nothing more t

han to make your day special by keeping the dancing going and by providing excellent MCing! Mike has been passionate about music since a very young age. He is a multi-instrumentalist who started off playing piano at the age of 7. He later was trained in Saxophone, guitar, drums and voice. Mike studied Music Business with a concentration in voice at Illinois State University. While at Illinois State, he interned at a music venue the Castle Theatre, where he learned a lot about how the entertainment industry functions. Mike has and continues to play in rock bands, where he has played shows for crowds of over 2000 people. After college Mike worked at Willow Creek Community Church for 4 years where he was on stage weekly singing, and leading thousands of students and adults.

Hey Everyone! Thanks again for the follow. I appreciate it so much. No, my hair is not this long anymore, but it’s a photo of me in my favorite coffee shop .cup . I love working at coffee shops and talking with people, it’s a big part of why I love DJing weddings!

Just wanted to keep everyone updated, I am still booking weddings and events for the year and I’ve been booking super well. So thank you to those who’ve already booked me. I had the first wedding of the year the other week (photos to come) and it made me super excited for all the rest I have coming up!

I wanted to share this clip with you guys as a reminder to performers to never worry about mistakes.

In this video I cut from one song to the next, but when the second song comes in, it doesn’t stay playing when I pull my finger off. I have a choice here, I can freak out and hit play immediately and make a nervous face OR.... I can pretend like it’s intentional, remain calm and wait a couple beats to bring it back in.

I’m sure if someone is really paying a attention they might notice that as a mistake, but I also do stuff like that in my mixing for fun... so they wouldn’t know for sure.

This type of thing applies to so many fields too. No one knows your craft like you do, so stop being afraid that people are going to be critical of you and know your mistakes. Most likely they won’t, and as long as you roll with it and don’t bring attention to it you’ll be good.
