Welcome back listeners! The Librarians figured out their St. Paddy's shenanigan schedule and got to together to tell you all about the epic tale of Danny Greene, Cleveland infamous Irish gangster. Plus hear entirely too much about a tv series that ended almost twenty years ago, why you should only trust professionals to set your car explosives, and the secret to why Millennials ACTUALLY love "Avocado Toast"

Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

There’s no new podcast episode today - the Librarians had to take a brief hiatus after being cursed by the Leprechaun! 🍀 (This was probably Beth’s fault after talking smack about the feature films 😂). But, please take the opportunity to catch up on previous episodes!

The Lake Eerie Library will return next week to discuss true crime, and then in the near future, don’t forget about the Eerie Bookclub, where we will discuss Kealan Patrick Burke’s book, Kin!

The Librarians take the deepest of dives into the government investigation of unidentified spacecraft, aliens, TLDR letters, and everything involved with Project Blue Book and its humble start at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. So grab your mountain of mashed potatoes, your Reeses Pieces, make sure to phone home, and remember: The Truth Is Out There....and we all totally missed it while living through our 8th, 9th, and 10th unprecedented world events last year.

Get out your black suits, dust off your X-Files, and make room for space pancakes because this week’s episode is chock full of aliens, ghosts, haunted planes, conspiracy theories, military and aviation history, and more! The Librarians are here to tell you all about Ohio’s Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, the home of Project Blue Book and the infamous (and most likely not real) Hangar 18 that’s full of UFO wreckage and E.B.Es from the Roswell crash and one really angry guy that just wishes people would stop asking about aliens.

Dr. Samuel Sheppard Part II: Murder or Misfortune

Dr. Samuel Sheppard had it all: Good looks, youth, a promising medical career, a beautiful wife and son, and a home in idyllic Bay Village, Ohio. On July 4th, 1954 all that changed.

The Librarians pick up where they left off with the SECOND trial of Sam Sheppard. They tag team Sam’s short lived but impactful wrestling career (no crotch socks were harmed in the making of this episode) and present another possible theory into who really killed Marilyn Sheppard.

The first of a two-part true crime episode: Dr. Samuel Sheppard, Murder or Misfortune

Dr. Samuel Sheppard had it all: Good looks, youth, a promising medical career, a beautiful wife and son, and a home in idyllic Bay Village, Ohio. On July 4th, 1954 all that changed.
The Librarians dive into the completely bonkers story of the murder of Marilyn Reese Sheppard, the mysterious alleged intruder, her husband Sam’s multiple murder trials, a totally random connection to professional wrestling AND Harrison Ford, and the absolute injustice of the legal system and media fanaticism during what was called the Crime of The Century.

Crybaby Bridges!

Despite one of them experiencing a stabbing at Applebee’s, the Librarians are back this week to dish all about Crybaby Bridges and the weirdly prolific amount of them in the Buckeye State. Whether there’s truth to the stories or they’re all simply folklore watch out for those Foley Artist Ghosts, Satanic Cults, Neil Patrick Harris, and Ohio Winter driving conditions.

Haunted Getaways: The Golden Lamb and Punderson Manor!

The Librarians return after a week off to tell you the sordid tales of two of Ohio's haunted hotels: Lebanon's The Golden Lamb- a site tied to many civil war stories and some spirits who probably enjoy slapstick comedy, and Punderson State Park's Punderson Manor Lodge and Conference Center- home to at least one specter who might have escaped Disney's Haunted Mansion ride, amongst many other ghostly inhabitants. Episode: Book Club, The Only Good Indians

While you're hiding from family and digesting leftovers, crack open a copy of this month's book club choice, The Only Good Indians by Stephen Graham Jones.

Why doesn't Mars make a vegan, nut-free candy bar? Where did Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall get married? What's the old-timey name for cottage cheese? What if Tina Belcher murdered her entire family to be with Jimmy Junior and then haunted the burger shop forever?

All these questions are answered in this week's episode when the Librarians tell you the story of Ceely Rose, the boy-crazy former resident of Malabar Farm State Park, who was tried for the murders of her Mother, Father, and older brother. Does Ceely still check out the local butts from her bedroom window or is there a different entity haunting this beautiful Ohio state park?
