Actual sales are the only thing that supports music, especially when it comes to extreme metal. Streaming is basically a big middle finger to any band that isn't in the 1% of big names. Think about it... the entire streaming platform exploits musicians... without the music, there is no platform. Support artists and indie labels, not billionaires and apps. You won't have to pay a premium to avoid ads on a CD... and you'll always have access to the music.

The reality of where things are as we move into 2025... without support, your favorite underground labels won't be around much longer.

Physical media is the only way to ensure you still have access to all your favorite music, no matter what any streaming platform chooses to do, and it's the absolute best way to support not just the bands, but the labels that help them grow and reach a wider audience.

How is it that SO many bands/artists are so clueless or otherwise misguided/misinformed about ?? It is not weekly... it isn't even necessarily monthly anymore. The most recent BCF was October 4th, 2024. The next and final one for the year is December 6th, 2024.

Unfortunately, there is NO BCF for November. That doesn't mean people shouldn't support bands and labels in November... people should support whenever they choose to and have the means to, regardless of whether it's a certain day or not. Every bit of support absolutely helps the bands and labels you choose to show that support to, trust me!

To know for certain before posting about BCF (and to avoid misguiding/misinforming people), you can always check the BCF companion website https://isitbandcampfriday.com/ to know when they next OFFICIAL BCF goes live. It's really that simple, folks!
