Known to many as 'The Big Chill house' after the popular movie was filmed there, Tidalholm was built in 1853 and served as a summer retreat, a Union Civil War hospital and also the setting for the movie The Great Santini.

Beaufort's historic homes are as unique as the owners who built them, and few stand out as much as Tidalholm, Beaufort's most popular historic home.

Boar's Head Provisions Company is recalling 207,528 pounds of lunchmeat nationwide after discovering that it may be contaminated with listeria.
This includes liverwurst, Boar’s Head Virginia ham, Italian ham, extra hot Italian ham, bologna, garlic bologna, and beef salami.
These items are sold at both Publix and Harris Teeter on Lady's island.
Feel free to throw them away or return them to the store. 🤢

Rain brings the resurrection ferns back to life. Covering the branches of our majestic oak trees, they can go up to 100 years without water then burst back to life after a single rainfall. Awesome! 🌿

When the tide is low in , the smell of pluff mud is high in the air. It's a Lowcountry thing...and we just learn to love it. 🤎
