If you have the money, hire a human! You don’t NEED to use AI. You don’t need to automate everything, you don’t need to create 10 x the content you used to all the time, you don’t need to use an AI bot to write that thing and draw that thing and create that thing. Use humans who feel things and dream things and create new, unique things from their experiences and memories from their joyous human life.

STOP. THINK. ‘Can a human do this?’ YES! Pay them. You’ll make less profit but you’re keeping a creative in work and food on artists’ tables.

PUT HUMANS BEFORE PROFIT!

Share this if you can. Keep talking to business owners about their civic responsibilities. If you hire AI over humans then don’t complain when there are no jobs in the future.

I have been working on personal projects lately- I paid a designer, I paid a marketing guru, I am paying an assistant, I will make less profit but I’m keeping others in work. I did NOT use AI to write my book nor will I in the future.

Please think about it, please share, please support creatives. Support Humans. ❤️❤️❤️

Here’s a brand new shoot to share with you! I styled this for in the current issue. I’ve always loved a tartan, me! Maybe because my dad is Scottish or maybe just because they’re graphic and colourful! This shoot is a nod to highland patterned fabrics and I loved shooting it with - Brigid is such a legend.

Such a beautiful weekend in Hobart! Mum, my sister Em and I went away for our first ever girls trip together - it was so much fun and so relaxing. We decided to have an (almost) phone free weekend which was fab and I took very few photos! Between the Salamanca Markets, the MONA and the pubs we don’t have time for much else! The boys are excited for me to pick them up from school today, and I’m excited to see them too ❤️

Today I revisited the beautiful Caroline Simpson Library (a library dedicated to the history of the home) at in Sydney, to add a copy of my book to the shelves!

To think that someone might read my book in 100 years is a crazy thought- and one that I’m embracing! Thank you to the team at the library for having me today. A new core memory created ❤️❤️

(Thank you to for all the amazing imagery in the book and for all the homeowners for opening your doors to me!)

Isn’t this just superb?? I had the pleasure of shooting the incredible home of for the current issue of , and it brings me so much joy every time I see it!

I have shot in Alexandra’s home a few times now and each time I walk in the front door I feel the magic in front of my eyes ✨. It’s a real, lived-in, much loved home, full of soul. A beautiful family that have used every ounce of their creative talents to build, design and style this home so it feels like it’s been standing on it’s foundations for 200 years.

Thank you for having us showcase your home in the mag, Alex! It’s a beauty ❤️❤️❤️

So many more images to see in the current issue! (May issue)

We had the best day on the stockists styling workshop in Adelaide a couple of weeks ago!

I was asked to deliver a workshop called ‘Style, Snap, Sell’ which I delivered over the course of four hours (with beautiful food and conversation during that time). We spent half that time talking about how to style imagery of stockists’ stores and how to style and photographs of still life images of products to sell- using a smart phone.

We had such a great time together, learned lots, laughed lots. Was a dream! Thank you Annie, Helen and Tristan () for asking me.

Tristan spent a couple of days teaching a brilliant painting workshop too. Some incredible furniture painting techniques to learn!

Til the next one xx

Another lovely day in mag land today! We went for a look at some beautiful shops in Surry Hills including the gorgeous new .store (which made me think if and had a tiny love child this would be it!) a gorgeous shop.

My favourite thing was the selection of small architectural model kits from - I’ve added them to my birthday list! Beautiful little townhouses.

Then off to Gaggenau to see their new fridge design. I mean, it’s a high end piece of furniture for your kitchen- exquisite in every way! We also ate a beautiful lunch provided by .sydney - was such a colourful treat! Thank you for inviting me with

Lastly we popped in to to see their pastel coloured boutique. An incredible business that started as a market stall in Sydney’s Paddington markets before growing into a global brand! Very inspiring.

Another fab day out in Sydney town 🐨

Tomorrow I’m spending my day off with my wife, Kristina. It’s my 40th next week (!) and we’ve ear marked tomorrow to spend together while the kids are at school! Any suggestions of somewhere to have a nice lunch (maybe with a nice view?) send ideas my way!! ❤️❤️

I had a beautiful non-routine work day today, where I headed out to Woollhara (the posh bit of Sydney) and started by having a look at the beautiful fabric blankets, gowns and beautiful objects in (heaven), ceramic fish at , then lunch at (a ridiculously beautiful restaurant) for a press lunch with and - a fabulous Swedish photo book app that you can easily create from your phone. (I’m actually one of the few people who still print photos at the local shop and have photo books all over the house).

There was a beautiful home-grown floral masterclass by and a Swedish-inspired lunch menu. It’s not lost on me that I live a VERY lucky life.

Then home after work via this new building in a circular quay that looks like it’s clad in zellige tiles!! And hopped on the ferry home (I don’t often take this route home as it’s expensive but I treat myself occasionally!) Watch til the end for an amazing view of the Opera House!
