A Severe Thunderstorm Warning means a severe thunderstorm is imminent. Severe thunderstorms have the potential to produce winds of 60 miles per hour.

According to the NWS, residents should remain on alert for possible tornados. Tornadoes can develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado, go at once into the basement or small central room in a sturdy structure. For your protection, move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building.

Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways. Ponding, low visibility, and other hazardous driving conditions are expected.

11am Lion Dancers. Feed the lion “hongbao” for good luck starting from Deli and Bread to Food Court. Then enjoy double good fortune with a lucky fruit giveaway with Kauaʻi County Farm Bureau. 1:30pm Qi Gong Demonstration. Explore this ancient practice and participate with Kauaʻi practitioners.

Then return on February 8 for the “Hearts and Dragons” celebration featuring visiting Saam Fu Lion Dancers from Honolulu at 11am followed by Tsunami Taiko drum performance at noon in the Food Court. Plus, a “Hearts and Dragons” Craft Show featuring Kaua’i Made vendors and the K+M Monthly Craft Market.
