“Walk the Walk” is a wonderful hybrid of North African rhythms and psych-pop sensibilities. Capital Sons’ “Capsized” seems to have been written with the objective of matching the 90s alt-rock bands for the classic songwriting values.

Today marks the end of a 17-year era as Mary Lucia (Popular Creeps) will host her final radio broadcast on 89.3 The Current. More than just another DJ, she has been a local tastemaker, a musical historian, an authority on all things cool, and a great supporter of local music. She was also an early champion of Capital Sons, spinning our tunes as far back as 2005. In fact, she once called Miss Understood a “perfect power-pop song”-- a better endorsement we could not ask for. So tune in at 2pm this afternoon for one last listen to a local legend.
