As someone who started travelling solo when I was 16, I always travelled to learn more about who I was and as the old saying goes ‘to find myself’; and I caught the travel bug quickly! It wasn’t until later in life when my now husband asked what country I wanted to settle in and my response was ‘settle? Why would you settle somewhere?!’ It was honestly not even a thought that had crossed my mind 🤯 But his simple question made me realise that I had actually lost all bearings of home and nowhere in the world gave me that feeling anymore I now realise that this mentality has both good and bad parts. After all, it’s so easy for me to make any single place in the world home, but I also get bored easily so the ‘home’ never seems to last for too long before I’m ready for the next adventure 🗺️ This year, we are setting goals to establish our home for good, and I think it’s probably going to be my scariest year to date; having to commit to one place for an extended period of time! SELF-GROWTH - you get to practise each day and really hone in on the bits you want to get better at, I can’t believe how much I’ve grown this season and I’m so proud of myself as a result 💖 2. IT’S FUN! - The most important thing of all, by the way, at the start of the season, I was NOT interested in snowboarding AT ALL! But it’s converted me, safe to say we will be a snowboarding family FOR SURE! 👌🏻 3. OUTDOORS - I find it sooooo hard getting outside in winter, but a snow season makes it so easy 🍃 4. APRES - Hit the slopes and finish with a bevvy and a view 🏔️ 5. SOCIAL - Is there anything better than being active with friends and getting your fresh air in at the same time?! In winter, that’s hard but a snow season makes it so much easier! 🎿 6. BUILD CONFIDENCE - the more you do something, the better you get, the more confidence you build and the more faith you have in your own abilities. I never thought I would be tackling rails and terrain parks by the end of the season, you may surprise yourself with the amount of confidence you gain, both on and off the slopes 🥰 Has a snow season taught you anything?! 📍 Angels Landing, Zion NP, Utah ⚠️ Is this the riskiest hike you’ve ever seen in the USA?! Fly, baby, fly 🦅 As soon as we saw this, we couldn’t unsee it 😂 💌 Send this to someone who would appreciate this new take on a snowboard jump We know they say to aim for more air in your jumps, but I’m not sure they meant to become a bird and fly, but Schoofa swears by this approach and who doesn’t love people who make things their own! 🏂 In all honesty, we absolutely adored @brightonresort because they had so many super fun terrain parks suitable for ALL abilities, they also had so many tree runs and loads of little jumps on the side of the runs, it really was amazing!! 🏂BIG SKY: DAY ITINERARY TIPS 📩SAVE this for when you visit Big Sky We have just spent the last 7 days @bigskyresort and we had the most amazing time, so here is our perfect day break down for those visiting on a day trip wit some ‘top tips’ that we picked up throughout the week! 🚐 If sleeping in your van, you cannot park overnight at the Big Sky main car park, but you can sleep at the Big Sky town centre, just a 10 minute drive away for free, we stayed 8 nights and didn’t get disturbed once 🚍 There is a bus that runs from the Big Sky town centre that operates throughout the day leaving from 6AM with the last bus back down the mountain being 11PM - there were definitely a few hiccups but for the most part it went smoothly 🅿️ You can drive up to the mountain and park for free, there is then a little shuttle trailer that takes you directly to the base of the mountain or you can walk which takes roughly 8 minutes 🎒There is free storage in the Exchange at the base of the mountain, everything is left at your own risk but we loved being able to take food and water up to reduce costs and also so we could get dressed in the warm as opposed to the struggles of a van we can’t stand up in 🎿 Big Sky Resort is HUGE! There are more than 300 runs and 30 lifts that stretch over a huge portion of the mountain, there really is something for everyone! The Explorer Terrain Park was the best beginner level park we have seen so far and was perfect for Han to start practising her jumps and boxes 🌊 10 minutes down the road from Big Sky Town Centre is Ousel Falls, in winter this becomes a stunning frozen waterfall that is a 2.7km stroll ⚠️ HEADS UP: it is snow packed but sections of the path were VERY slippery, so just walk with caution and watch your step BONUS: On the mountain, everyday there is live music from 3PM onwards at Montana Jack restaurant, there is also some great happy hours in the Big Sky town at Tips Up, The Bar at the Wilson,
