The BBC will be turning off the SD versions of all our TV channels on SATELLITE (standard definition)

•the switch off will take place on 8th January 2024.

•If you see a banner telling you to upgrade your box you need to act now.

•They did remove the banner over the Christmas period but it has now returned on all programmes.

This will only affect customers with the older style SD Freesat boxes or Freesat older SD TVs.

NOTE:
THIS WILL “NOT “ EFFECT CUSTOMERS WHO RECEIVE FREEVIEW CHANNELS THROUGH A TRADITIONAL TV AERIAL.

Signals appear to be a lot worse today due to the volume of calls we’re experiencing ,
It’s mainly the higher Freeview channels, missing or breaking up ,
Quest etc

Bear with it, please don’t re-tune.or call anyone out.
Any reputable firm will inform you of this before attending .

You may be suffering with tv picture break up, due to planned works on the Isle of Wight digital transmitter.

True to form as we hit the high temperatures , multiple calls and customers reporting poor signals & no signals,

Please ignore any no signal messages or re-tune messages as once the temperatures drop back down, you definitely will have no signal & will need to re-tune again.

This is due to the co- channel interference amplified by the hot weather, one of the joys of living on the coast.

Note : Freesat/satellite/sky/sky glass tv is not effected.

Well, true to form being on the coast during this hot weather serious influx of phone calls from people,

If you are unfortunate enough to be stuck indoors during this hot weather and your tv signal is playing up.

Please do not be tempted to tune in your TV if you lose your picture or call anyone out , this issue is due to co-channel interference caused by hot weather.

Satellite customers are not affected.
