The SFSQ intellectual Mag
azine is the university's primary literary publication showcasing the creative achievements of the SFSQ community of students. This kind of publication thrives on the involvement of students who submit or who are committed to support the creative writing and intellectual debate housed by SFSQ. Please consider the following guidelines for submissions:
- For all submissions:
All submissions must include the full name of the author/artist as well as a current email address. Please note that while hard-copy submissions are accepted, digital files are greatly preffered.
- Writing:
There is no set limit on the number of pieces a single author may submit. If you do submit more than one piece, please submit each piece as a separate document. If your piece exceeds 3 pages, please select an excerpt. If this is a problem, please consult with an editor about an exemption. Students may submit their writing in either English and/or Arabic. If students wish to submit their writing in another language, other than English and Arabic, please provide and English translation.
- Art:
Please submit your art in digital format only, either by email, or in the case of large files, on a disk. If you need assistance converting your art into digital format, please contact an editor and we can facilitate the use of a high-resolution scanner. There is no limitation on the amount of art an individual may submit. We consider anything that can be reduced to two dimensions: photography, digital art, scans of paintings or drawings, etc. We welcome, in fact strongly urge, all students to submit their original writing (essays, literary pieces, poems, etc.) for publication. As for the faculty, please nominate student work for consideration.
*Original writing includes, but is not limited to:
- Essays (current/past)
- Short stories
- Poems
- Previous/current papers
- Books Reviews
