Green Gaithersburg please come to this meeting!

Please Join TAME and SAY NO to more new highways in the Upcounty.

Upcounty Transportation Town Hall
Thursday, October 12th at 6:30pm
Black Rock Center for the Arts
12901 Town Commons Dr, Germantown, MD 20874

This event is hosted by Councilmember Marilyn Balcombe who represents County Council District 2, and members of the Maryland General Assembly, District 15 Delegation. Featured speakers are State Department of Transportation Director Paul Wiedefeld, and Montgomery County DOT Director Chris Conklin.
We are very concerned this town hall will come off as a pro-highway rally - unless you are there to show your support for Climate Justice actions:

Build effective upcounty transit systems including Bus Rapid Transit on State Route 355, and expanded MARC train service;
Create safe, walkable neighborhoods; and
Protect upcounty forests, streams and parks that keep our communities healthy - but are threatened by proposed new highway projects that do not now exist including Midcounty Highway Extended/M83 and Observation Drive Extended.
A large public turnout is expected. Come speak out to save our many neighborhoods and our forests from being bulldozed and destroyed.

We hope you will Join Us on October 12th, 6:30pm at Black Rock Center.
