Good Morning Trent Hills, Havelock and Norwood 🌞
As we grow and gain support and structure, we’d like to share some updates:
-Food bank lists of most appreciated items will be posted monthly per town, to not overwhelm your news feed, we don’t anticipate the lists changing too much, but as needs change the lists will change, so please follow along for the most updated versions, they will be pinned at the top of the page for easy access
-Coats for Kids is seeing a lot of support, distribution will be as follows:
❤️any new items donated will be used to fill in the gaps
❤️Kids are smart and can easily recognize their own winter wear, so we will be swapping size for size/quality with another town to keep donated items as anonymous as possible for the recipient
❤️This is running year round, so please feel free to visit your nearest drop off location any time of year as you’re looking to donate winter items your children no longer need
Thank you so much for your support and enthusiasm! We’re looking forward to an awesome year of community involvement and supporting our locally established charities and organizations!

Bins are officially at River’s Edge on Front for the Hastings Food Bank and Coats for Kids ❤️
Had a tour of the Norwood Food Bank and got to see the amazing impact that donations have on the community. It’s so well run and organized, and everyone is so friendly and welcoming ❤️

Stay tuned for posts about most appreciated items, we’re working closely with our locally established charities so you can have a one stop online resource, paired with drop off locations in your town year round!

Looking forward to a heart-centered year! ❤️

I never saw this coming when The Kindness Project launched, and I’m overwhelmed with appreciation 😭❤️
A HUGE Thank You to our angel donor, who donated a bin full of new children’s mitts, hats and boots for local families 🥰❤️
Any amount helps our local families in need, and we appreciate every single item that can be redistributed back into our local communities ❤️
Bins are continuing to be placed locally, and will be around for donations year round, gently worn children’s winter wear will be “officially” distributed to the community members in need in October, so families can rest assured that their children will have adequate winter wear going into the colder months. *We are actively working with the community to provide winter wear for children in need at this time as well*
Thank you to everyone who has participated and plans to participate, your donation makes a HUGE impact, and is greatly appreciated!

Signs and cards are in!!
If you’d like some cards dropped off to your retail location please reach out! ☺️
We aim to keep donating locally simple, by researching most appreciated items for local food banks and organizations, and providing simple instructions for organizations that accept e-transfers.
We hope to bridge the gap between community members and accessibility to donating in a way that directly benefits the community ❤️
Thank you so much for your participation!
We’re excited for a heart-centered 2024
Please like and follow for updates 🙏🥰

Donations Appreciated for the Hastings Outdoor Ice Rink ⛸️❄️

Entering their fourth successful year, the Hastings community ice rink attracts skaters of all age groups and levels of expertise.

The natural ice rink is conveniently located in the village core, at the corner of Bridge and Front Streets, and is maintained, supported and enjoyed locally!

Expenses such as rink liner, insurance, lumber and hardware, necessitate fundraising efforts over the course of the skating season.

If you can help in any way, your donation would be most appreciated.

Please send any donation via e-transfer to:
[email protected]

Thank you for your participation and support in creating and maintaining fun local attractions which bring our community members together!

Have a great skate!

Requirements:
-have set business hours
-be willing to host one of our Kindness Project recycling style bins inside your location (this is an “itemized ask”, so there’s no need for large outdoor bins)

Donations come in many forms for the various local organizations that support our communities.
The Havelock Centre is a cornerstone of our local community, they work diligently, linking families in need, with stores that have products that are “good for table, not for profit”. They provide an honourable Second Harvest program, which facilitates reduction in food waste from grocery stores, and also helps our community members. They are a truly heart-centred organization, which finds ways to support our community year round.
Donations of any amount are always greatly appreciated, please see details below if you feel inspired:

Come out and connect!
The Havelock Center welcomes our community members on the 2nd & 4th Tuesday of the month to socialize and connect with other community members.
We’re pleased to offer a welcoming environment for anyone who would like to have a bit of social interaction during these long winter months!
PS: you don’t have to be over 85 to enjoy a warm beverage ☕️🫖❤️

The holidays always hold a special 🪄 magic ✨
But that magic doesn’t have to be limited, or saved up for a *special* time.
With heart centered living, we can all create and experience the magic that happens when communities come together in kindness.
The Kindness Project - Trent Hills aims to accomplish exactly that.
Are you a local who would like to be more involved in heart centered living? Reach out!
We’d love to facilitate an overall community support and improvement program, where locals can interact with other likeminded locals ❤️
