I have been in the music industry from as far as 2005. In the film industry I just made 1 script for my music video for the album Ga-Kobokwe which trended in South Africa but could not bring any economic benefitian to the owner. I was not inspired to continue doing filming and focused on music production alone.
Dream Sign Media:What do you think are the 3 major challenges which everyone is likely to experience in the film industry?
Thuntsha Dithole:I think Africa has not done enough in terms of developing its own talents across all Creative sectors so that's the challenge that ultimately affects quality of film production.Few qualified people in Africa film industries.
Dream Sign Media:List 10 basics of acting episode.
Thuntsha Dithole: Yes I have been acting however using my ordinary acting talents doing it out of passion, I am new to the Professional film industry set up so still researching and learning the key basics of professional film industries
Dream Sign Media:A lot of people have given up because they feel there is no tangible benefit in art, what really drains their intrinsic motivation?
Thuntsha Dithole:Problem is the set back and loses they encounter on Creative Industries which drains their motivation. This is due to to the fact that there is no political will in Africa to take deliberate positive steps from our African leadership and this is attributed to lack of understanding of Creative careers and industries. I e continuous investments on saturated careers which were introduced post colonization.
Dream Sign Media:What are ways of handling tensions/differences amongst men and women in the film industry?
Thuntsha Dithole:Is not only in the Creative Industries across various industries, women are sidelined by men who are majority leaders though they have significant impact in African economies and are the only people who are capable of transforming the African continent since they mostly selfless. Men should make a deliberate effort to give women chance to have economic impact on these will then see the continent thriving
Women are naturally givers and are people who knows development of humanity from grass roots. If women are well empowered automatically everybody will benefit because they are good at sharing skills and knowledge. e. t. c.
