ERKO JUN RUNS IT BACK WITH MOHAMED SAID MAALEM FOR BRAVE CF LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT WORLD TITLE
April 14, 2026 - Ljubljana, Slovenia: BRAVE Combat Federation™ (BRAVE CF), the world’s fastest-growing and most global mixed martial arts organization, has officially confirmed a blockbuster rematch as reigning BRAVE CF Light Heavyweight World Champion Erko “The Bounty Hunter” Jun prepares to defend his crown against former World Title challenger Mohamed “L'Ambiance” Said Maalem in the co-headliner of its upcoming event in Ljubljana, Slovenia.
Taking place at Hala Tivoli as part of BRAVE CF’s collaboration with World Freefight Challenge, the upcoming spectacle on Saturday, June 6, represents a crucial moment for the division. The rematch revisits their encounter at BRAVE CF 81 in April 2024, where Jun authored a swift knockout victory over Said Maalem. This time, both competitors enter with sharpened tools and renewed purpose.
Erko Jun, BRAVE Lightweight Heavyweight World Champion, stated:
“I have put in the work through every phase of this camp, refining every layer of my game from striking entries to defensive transitions. I am not just defending a World Title; I am defending the standard I have set in this division. On June 6, I intend to impose my rhythm, control the distance, and show that my evolution as a fighter has only made me more dangerous.”
Mohamed Said Maalem, No. 3-Ranked Light Heavyweight Contender, stated:
“This is more than a rematch for me; it is a chance to correct the past and prove that I belong at the very top. I have studied every detail of our previous fight, adjusted my approach, and strengthened my ability to handle pressure in the pocket. When I step into the cage, I will not be the same fighter he faced before. I will be sharper, more composed, and fully prepared to turn the tide.”
Adding further intrigue to the evening, the BRAVE CF Heavyweight World Championship will also be on the line as current divisional king Pavel “The Experiment” Dailidko puts the intricately crafted strap at stake against top contender Miha Frlic in a clash of imposing forces.
Additional bouts will be announced in the coming weeks.
