2024 Recap 🎥🌲💫🌵

86 sessions and 16 weddings/elopements later…. WOW.

This has been my full time job now since September 2022 and it hasn’t been easy but 2024 really showed me it is worth it 🫶 YOU make it worth it, yes you. Every person who shares, books, or even just comments and tells me they notice my work. You make it so worth it for me!!!

Getting ready can be such an intimate experience on your wedding day….

I was editing on this wedding gallery last night and realized I was way too impatient to post these portraits! I’ve been working on 2025 timelines and realized a huge trend between my brides is that no one wants getting ready photos???? (Yet to come heheh).

As a photographer here are some reasons you may WANT getting ready photos….let me persuade you a bit…

✨Getting ready is a SPECIAL part of your day. Getting in your dress is usually a task and there’s a lot of meaningful hands that go into helping you. Let alone your first time in a WEDDING DRESS.

✨First look with your wedding party- The girls are going to girl. Seeing your family/best friend in a wedding dress is a part of all of our childhood dreams. It’s an emotional moment for everyone.

✨Additional moment for the bride- You’re going to be hugging and speaking to people every given second after you walk out of those doors. Take your getting ready moments to be by yourself (+ me), feel your best, in fresh makeup, and prepare for the rest of the day!

So happy these two are going into the new year expecting a cowgal/cowboy 🐂

I want to talk about 2025 real quick since we are getting so close! This last year went by insanely fast and it’s no doubt 2025 will be any different. Every year as a business owner is nerve racking, there’s so many variables that go into play to see if “this year is your year babe!”. We definitely get stuck in this mindset of, “I’ll just do it next year and try harder then”. I know there’s a few things i definitely pushed to the side in the same way.

What are the few things I’m KEEPING from 2024 to go into the new year? There was so much to be saved that I learned, experience, and had the opportunity to grow.

• I’m keeping client experience as my #1 goal for every session/event.

•Putting my personal life first. Taking more Saturdays off then on.

•Using the 3 P’s with everyone to keep on the same track. Professional, Proficient, and Personality

•Making the quality of my work stand out more and more with every session

The new year can be both stressful and time for new opportunities. Just remember it’s completely okay to feel/do both!

But seriously, thank you to everyone who was apart of MY 2024. It was an insanely special year for me🤍

I have many things in my life to be thankful for. My clients are a huge one BUT this nomination was made by all my fellow wedding vendor friends in Kansas City 🏙️

To be a wedding vendor is something 14 year old Adelynn didn’t even think of as a career path. To be loved and appreciated by OTHER wedding vendors is something I don’t take for granted. This career wouldn’t be possible without all my vendor friends who I can relate with, collaborate with and understand to another level. Thank you 🤍🤍🤍
