For those not familiar with Jake's work this is a great chance to see him as he supports his recent output "Bathhouse Blues", a personal, deep and brilliant ambient take on gay bathhouse/cruising culture out recently through Manchester's via sferic. To say we are stoked to have Jake in town is an understatement.

Joining him are some of Austin's best Private Service Saliyah Plume Girl Gi Gi and myself(Patina Lush) with Drip Cuts providing video manipulations. Definitely going to be one for the books!

We are thrilled to announce that our final release of 2023 will come from Austin's Classically-driven, Sludge-leaning Post-Punk outfit, Holy Water.

With this new work entitled "Slow Dissolve", we find Jasper Samir Den Hartigh the vibrant imagination behind HW, taking cues from a variety of approaches resulting in a somber yet raw and cutting form of music unique solely to this project.

Throughout "Slow Dissolve" somber string and piano arrangements are draped as a gauze-like backdrop for sharply executed guitars seemlessly fluctuating between blackened, angular and dense while Jasper's signature low register voice proclaims from deep in the mix. The songs, on the whole, feel like something familiar from the post-punk and goth world, but re-imagined in a way as if Kowloon Walled City invited Amber Asylum to aid in an autumnal hymn.

Whether seen as a heavy type of Goth Rock or Classically motivated Post-Punk, Holy Water's "Slow Dissolve" is an exquisite reflection of distillation and refinement. The tracks "Pit, Covered" and "Back of The Head" can now be streamed. Digital and cassette pre-orders now available.

We are thrilled to announce our first 2023 release is "Coiled Souls", a collection of 10 tracks from Copenhagen's prolific enigma, øjeRum. With this particular output, longform neo-classical/ambient compositions most commonly affiliated with øjeRum's releases are replaced by gorgeously lamenting lo-fi folk songs more akin to Janushoved releases under his actual name.

Subdued, blurry vocals trail along somber acoustic and electric guitars all hosted by a haunting room sound reminiscent of fading memories. Raw, stripped down and to the nerve the simplicity behind "Coiled Souls" is proof of the emotional magic behind the notion that less is more.

HIQC return with seven charming tracks dedicated to all things romantic. Tectonic lust shivers in waves like the trembling of two lover's worlds colliding. Ambient sensuality delicately shimmers in beds of fluttering vocal and effect fantasy.

Although sonic precision is still at play there is a brilliance to this body of work that throws strict calculation to the wind. It's an album adorned with feeling and a sense of longing embrace. HIQC's approach to their sound has always been one of imaginative intuition. "Dreaming Eros" is an exquisite encapsulation of this.
