To all friends and fans of Martin Nitsch (1970–2018): 2023 will see the release of a new album featuring studio recordings of his last compositions, a coproduction with the Music Department of the Tiroler Landesmuseen (label: Franz Gratl’s musikmuseum). The pieces of music – written for his New Life Quintet a few months before his death – were performed by the original line-up: Clemens Ebenbichler (sax), Klaus Hofer (dr), Martin Ohrwalder (tp, flh) and Dragan Trajkovski (b). The guitar parts were played by Bernd Haas, Christian Hauser, Roland Heinz and Hannes Riepler. Recording and mix: Andreas Chico Eccli.
The mastering and layout are currently in the works. More to come soon!
